Ted Cruz 2016!!!
Yup. This is a tempest in a teapot, and the fault lies with CNN.
He ate the sweet fruit of victory to taste bitterness many weeks.
Ok, he’s a fibber.
Breitbart has the audio. Even after they knew Carson was not dropping out, they went with the scam.
The problem is that Ted Cruz is a VALUES candidate.
His professed faith was the reason he won the evangelical vote in Iowa.
So far Cruz’s defense boils down to “you gotta fight dirty if you want to win”, “the end justifies the means”, and “other people are bad too, so get over it.”
That defense won’t work when the core of your appeal is based on being better than that.
Rush stated on Friday that he was sick and tired of those on our side trying to excommunicate candidates that they were not supporting. This whole thing reminds me of when Dick Cheney was attacked during 2000 or 2004 when he stated something about looking out his plane window at the “crosses” in Arlington and reflecting on the price our veterans have had to pay through the years and being excoriated because the tombstones in Arlington are not crosses (although there is a section that is).
Personally I think all this vitriol towards Cruz is because he is a genuine Christian and many people just can’t stand that (remember two things: Christians are NOT perfect, just forgiven (and answerable to God Who knows the heart) and let he/she who is without sin cast the first stone...yes this includes all you sTrumpets).
Some people don’t care about the truth. They just want trump to win even if he lies. I was wanting CNN when they alluded Carson was going home not to NH or SC. Here the transcript and the video.
Here is what the video said
RE: Cruzâââ‰â¢s people took that speculation and passed it along as fact. Thatâââ‰â¢s lying.
From your YOUTUBE VIDEO:
During CNNââ¬â¢s wall-to-wall coverage of the Iowa caucuses, Dana Bash shared breaking news from reporter Chris Moody that Carson would return home to Florida after the contest.
ââ¬ÅBen Carson is going to go back to Florida, to his home, regardless of how he does tonight here in Iowa. Heââ¬â¢s going to go there for several days, and then afterwards, heâââ‰â¢s not going to go to South Carolina, heââ¬â¢s not going to go to New Hampshire, heââ¬â¢s going to come to Washington D.C., and heââ¬â¢s going to do that because the National Prayer Breakfast is on Thursday,ââ¬Â she said.
NNââ¬â¢s Jake Tapper called the announcement from Carson ââ¬Åvery unusualââ¬Â and noted ââ¬Åalmost every single candidateââ¬Â would travel directly to New Hampshire after the caucuses.
ââ¬ÅIf you want to be President of the United States, you donââ¬â¢t go home to Florida,ââ¬Â Bash responded.
On Twitter, @TheLeadCNN told its 32,000 followers that Carson ââ¬Åwill return to FL following #IAcaucus, will not go to either NH or SC.ââ¬Â The account for CNNââ¬â¢s politics section tweeted to 420,000 followers that the retired neurosurgeon ââ¬Åplans to take a break from campaigning.ââ¬Â
7:50 p.m.: Carson camp clarifies he just has to go home for ââ¬Åfresh clothesââ¬Â
Shortly before 8 p.m., a Carson spokesman tweeted the candidate was ââ¬Ånot standing downââ¬Â and was simply returning to Florida to ââ¬Åget fresh clothesââ¬Â and dodge a winter storm in Iowa. The spokesman told TPM Carson would be in D.C. Wednesday and Thursday for a ââ¬Åcampaign event,ââ¬Â and then would continue on to New Hampshire.
The campaign also disputed rumors that Carsonââ¬â¢s trip to Florida was a mid-campaign vacation, which many read as a sign he would drop out.
Just as the Iowa caucuses were beginning, some users of the Cruz campaignââ¬â¢s official mobile app received a notification saying Carson was dropping out of the presidential race. The notification cited a report from CNN.
The alert said Carson ââ¬Åwill stop campaigning after Iowaââ¬Â and urged users to tell people at the caucuses ââ¬Åthey should coalesce around the true conservative who will be in the race for the long haul: TED CRUZ!ââ¬Â
It also included a photo of a TV tuned to CNN, showing the networkââ¬â¢s ever-present ââ¬ÅBREAKING NEWSââ¬Â banner paired with the headline ââ¬ÅCampaign: Carson To Take A Break After Iowa.ââ¬Â
QUESTION: Was this an intent to LIE? Or was this simply repeating in a somewhat different wording, what CNN Originally reported?
This is what the Cruz campaign wrote: ââ¬ÅCNN is reporting that Ben Carson will stop campaigning after Iowa....ââ¬Â
How different is the above from this original CNN tweet:
ââ¬ÅBen Carson is going to go back to Florida, to his home, regardless of how he does tonight here in Iowa. Heââ¬â¢s going to go there for several days, and then afterwards, heââ¬â¢s not going to go to South Carolina, heââ¬â¢s not going to go to New Hampshire....ââ¬Â?
The wording is different but the idea is the same.
CNN was the source of this and the Cruz campaign simply repeated what CNN said.
Time to just admit it and move on.
Excellent post and I do agree but to many Trump fans it doesn’t matter. They want to bring Cruz down any way they can even if it is a media lie

Well Teddy better have that tongue oiled up for tonight’s debate. What are the odds Trump won’t call him out on dirty tricks? Its just too beautiful to pass up. :-)
Where does Marco Rubio fit in all this. Didn’t he tweeted about Ben Carson before Ted Cruz did?
This whole thing will work out well for TC. Any question he gets from the media, any question about any reporting, he can just say that he has yet to do his own research and would prefer not to comment....because his team got burned once when CNN knew one thing to be true but reported another...
