I think this was the best debate so far this year. I really like how Newt stood up to defend his stance on immigration. Who do you think won?

Newt failed big time on the illegal issue. I was ready for him to ticket with Cain but not after tonight. He stepped in a hugh pile with what amounted to amesty - Oh, but we have to be human!!!

Paultards are already spamming. I clicked once on my vote, then a second later, clicked refresh to see updated results and Paul’s numbers jumped by 500 (with everyone else in the double digits). For a poll on some unknown site, that screams spamming or pre-loading.
Newt does not support amnesty the way you are thinking and saying. he makes a good point on someone here decades and knows the American people will not go to evict someone who came here as he says 25 years ago and has children and grandchildren here, some in the military, others in careers.
Let’s be realistic on this. Not saying I support illegal immigration but we do need to streamline the process and let people in, but make sure they really do become citizens and learn English.
I think Newt won the debate. Romney I think will slide now in polls. His little snide looks at everyone else answering questions really makes me want to slap the RINO.
Cain, although more intelligent than I had first thought is a bit slow compared to Newt and I so want to see 4 or more debates between Obama and Gingrich. Obama is going to look like a high school debater and lose much support, if he has any left by next November.
Bachmann also is getting on the ball and I would vote for her too.
Actually let me say I would vote for even Ron Paul if by some strange change he won the nomination as I firmly believe Obama will be attempting a coup or dictatorship soon into any second administration.

Children born in the U.S. to parents here illegally are the nationality of their parents. They can, when over the age of 18, apply for U.S. citizenship claiming birth here; but whether they get to claim that right depends on their parent’s homeland and its laws.
Mexico claims that wherever Mexicans go, Mexico exists. Therefore if Mexicans are in the U.S. illegally, they are not here under the jurisdication of the U.S., but purely as Mexicans.
Illegal aliens and their family members should be deported together - period.

My hugest problems with illegals ...other than they are illegal.
1. They come for the benefits - and we give them - and then we go broke. NO candidate EVER seems to directly address the BILLIONS states are paying to subsidize these parasites. I must admit Romney does come close in addressing the “magnet” that draws them. However, I’m not sure I could trust him to do what we need to do ...as in cut out ALL welfare benefits.
2. They have no intention of becoming Americans. They are here to reap the benefits and continue living culturally as they always have. NO candidate EVEr addresses the loyalties of any of these illegal immigrants. You could give them amnesty all day long ...but what kind of Americans will they be? Do they really care about this country? Do they even understand this country beyond what they can GET from it.
As the talking heads said, when asked about Syrian flyover, Cain talked about the US economy and that is a sign of not being informed.

I didn’t see the debate on purpose but if I could have gotten away with it and Newt did push his illegal alien amnesty, I would have walked on stage and kicked him in the ass. I would have then said I wanted to beat the crap out of him but wanted to be more humane so would stop at the ass kicking.
I then would have said that I really wanted to be humane to all the Americans whose parents, Great Grand parents etc give their souls and their lives to build a new country where rule of law protcts even the lowliest ciitzen from illegal aliens violating our laws. murdering our children and old folks.Stealing everythhing not nailed down and tuning our nation in to a third would hell hole. Here is Newt’s logic in a nutshell...
There is a bank robber who robbed banks years ago. He never robbed more than $5000 in any one robbery. He goes to church every Sunday. He has kids and grand kids. You can’t just throw this dude in jail now, and break up his family.
Now substitute Bank robber with illegal immigrant. He has been here for over 25 years. Goes to church regularly, has kids and grand kids. We can’t just deport him and break up his family. Get it cricket?
In most states there’s a statute of limitations on bank robbery.
Exactly! Turn off the tap. Withdraw the benefits, and most illegals will go away. The fed gov should let the states deal with them. No jobs, no housing, no stay.
Those who are now too old to work, and still illegally here, would remain a problem, temporarily. But no Republican candidate is going to get any traction in the campaign by advocating deportation — which the Dems would promptly frame as a humanitarian crisis. Or Holocaust. Or Trail of Tears. Whatever.
We want them gone, but we do not want a PR disaster that gets Obama another four years in the White House.

If Newt had announced his big “IMMIGRATION PLAN” before the debate,
and given speeches talking about it, that would be one thing. I understand

Gingrich blew it with his support for amnesty and for H-1 visas to allow cheap Indian and Chinese engineers to displace American engineering talent.
He fails to realize that the only difference between an illegal border crosser caught by the Border Patrol today and the one that’s been here 25 years is that the 25 year guy has been breaking the law 9,125 days longer.
As Newt himself would say, if he had the brain he is reputed to have, it’s absurd to think that if break into the country illegally, it’s OK if you can get more than 25 miles across the border, or more than 25 days without being caught.
Using the Gingrich logic, John Demjanjuk, an 89 year old American citizen with American children and grandchildren who was deported and denaturalized in 2009 because he was a Nazi prison camp guard in the 1940’s, should have been allowed to stay here forever.
What is the difference between Demjanjuk and these other illegals?

I thought Santorum and Bachmann shined tonight. They all sounded smart and serious which was like a breath of fresh air compared to the Dems’ verbal excrement.
