Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

“Your falling for the meme that Ryan is some fiscal hawk.”

I’ve read his voting record. Read his proposals for SS reform and the Budget.

Have you? Did you even care to take a look at his posted record that I linked to?

Doubtful.

“As JR said, Ryan voted supported TARP, the auto bailouts, every Bush budget, every debt limit increase under Bush, no Child Left Behind, also known as no union member left behind.”

Link? Jim couldn’t provide them...and so far you haven’t either.

“Ryan’s fiscal plans are a joke. He intends to increase the size and scope of the budget, while his economic prediction of said budget proposals are nothing but fantasy.”

No he doesn’t. That is a flat out lie.

You either, unless you’re already perfect.

I get my info here, my news here and have talked to , met some off here who are great people.

WE will always differ on certain issues and for me Ryan after looking at his past votes tells me he is a conservative on social, and fiscal.
He has the guts to take the homostapo on and we all know the media wil attack him and twist his words and then play the mediscare crap.

As for him being mormon, I couldn’t careless, Ive had a few arguments about this when I said they’re Christian or they did well to stop the homostapo in CA with prop.
All I know is that they are pro family and tend to go conservative

You’re an idiot. You’ll be in the same group of navel gazers should (God forbid) Obama win again that pisses and moans about how the Republicans got their asses kicked again and why can’t we ever win the big elections.

It’s because of idiots like you and the others that are more concerned over the fact that Mitt is Mormon and less about what the hell Obama is doing to this country.

You’re helping the Dems and quite frankly Obama appreciates your support.

If you were half as concerned and interested in how to get this Communist/Marxist fraud out of office as you were whether or not Mitt is a false prophet he’d win in a 49 state landslide.

And that goes for everyone here obsessed with this crap...OP included.

No wonder the Dems poke fun at people of faith.

We’ve gone from the website that helped expose “fake but accurate” a combination of the DUmp and a bad episode of the Art Bell show.

And crap like this isn’t helping.

Was Mitt my first choice? No. I was a Cain and Santorum guy.

But as someone pointed out earlier Romney...compared to Obama...is Washington/Reagan/Goldwater wrapped up into one tidy package.

This petty bigoted crap over his Religion is making us look like the unhinged left we normally poke fun at.

Grow the eff up people...there’s more important things at stake.

I agree.

I have held my tongue, but here’s my take:

FR is a (heavyweight) voice on the Conservative trail.

Up until the VP was selected, the opposition from FR was an irritation and a pressure on the GOP to appoint a real VP.

Well guess what? That’s what happened. It’s the best thing with could have happened until 2016. Period.

Now is the time to close ranks and support the nominee.

Get them next time.

For now join.

(IMHO)

And your argument about passing by Joseph Smith first is completely illogical and frankly irrelevent

Illogical?...it's mormon history.

"No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith...every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are... [Joseph Smith] reigns there as supreme a being in his sphere, capacity, and calling, as God does in heaven. Many will exclaim—"Oh, that is very disagreeable! It is preposterous! We cannot bear the thought!" But it is true." -Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p.289-91

“and... if Rush, Coulter and others like them are reading this, what do you think they are thinking, saying to one another? What do you think Sarah Palin, mark Levine and all the rest are saying? I don’t think you want the answer to that... or maybe you do. Only liberal trolls say things like that and you mentioned the 2 people that ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL liberals love to hate.”

I DO NOT hate Rush Limbaugh. On many issues he is own the mark. However, he is wrong on the issue of Romney as is Sarah Palin or anyone else IF they endorse him. I like to think they actually know better, but have caved in to pressure from the GOP establishment. I would really be distressed if Sarah Palin trully (an earnestly) endorsed Romney. IMO, it is a terrible sellout. I specifically voted for a Senatorial candidate here in Missouri on Tuesday because she endorsed the woman. I would be very distressed IF Sarah would give more than mere lip service to Romney as POTUS. Thus far, she is NOT a speaker at the convention.....does that sound like someone who strongly endorses Romney?

Ann Coulter, IMO, is not a true conservative (that is my “opinion” - I don’t state it as “fact”). She is a person that is making money by selling books to conservatives.

Stop trying to push a bad agenda by calling me, and others that oppose Romney, to be trolls. You may as well call Jim Robinson a troll.

I’m with you, Jim. Continue to lead in an integritous direction, and, the tougher the going, the more likely that your allies will also be people of integrity.

Jeremiah 14

1 This is the word of the LORD to Jeremiah concerning the drought:

2 “Judah mourns, her cities languish; they wail for the land, and a cry goes up from Jerusalem. 3 The nobles send their servants for water; they go to the cisterns but find no water. They return with their jars unfilled; dismayed and despairing, they cover their heads. 4 The ground is cracked because there is no rain in the land; the farmers are dismayed and cover their heads. 5 Even the doe in the field deserts her newborn fawn because there is no grass. 6 Wild donkeys stand on the barren heights and pant like jackals; their eyesight fails for lack of pasture.”

7 Although our sins testify against us, O LORD, do something for the sake of your name. For our backsliding is great; we have sinned against you. 8 O Hope of Israel, its Savior in times of distress, why are you like a stranger in the land, like a traveler who stays only a night? 9 Why are you like a man taken by surprise, like a warrior powerless to save? You are among us, O LORD, and we bear your name; do not forsake us!

10 This is what the LORD says about this people: “They greatly love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. So the LORD does not accept them; he will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins.”

11 Then the LORD said to me, “Do not pray for the well-being of this people. 12 Although they fast, I will not listen to their cry; though they offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Instead, I will destroy them with the sword, famine and plague.”

13 But I said, “Ah, Sovereign LORD, the prophets keep telling them, ‘You will not see the sword or suffer famine. Indeed, I will give you lasting peace in this place.’ “

14 Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds. 15 Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, ‘No sword or famine will touch this land.’ Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine. 16 And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them or their wives, their sons or their daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve.

17 “Speak this word to them: “ ‘Let my eyes overflow with tears night and day without ceasing; for my virgin daughter—my people— has suffered a grievous wound, a crushing blow. 18 If I go into the country, I see those slain by the sword; if I go into the city, I see the ravages of famine. Both prophet and priest have gone to a land they know not.’ “

19 Have you rejected Judah completely? Do you despise Zion? Why have you afflicted us so that we cannot be healed? We hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there is only terror. 20 O LORD, we acknowledge our wickedness and the guilt of our fathers; we have indeed sinned against you. 21 For the sake of your name do not despise us; do not dishonor your glorious throne. Remember your covenant with us and do not break it.

22 Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies themselves send down showers? No, it is you, O LORD our God. Therefore our hope is in you, for you are the one who does all this.

It’s 2008 all over again. An almost duplicate clone.

The RINO/Democrat GOP nominee picks a Conservative, so the candidate can move Left and the VP pick can appeal to the base of Conservatives.

Do you folks really think the result is going to be any different than the way 2008 turned out?

Obama/Soros PICKED the GOP nominee. You folks really think your votes are going to be counted correctly and thus the desired removal of Obama from office attained??

If so, you folks are clueless about what time it really is. Cook county has gone national, even to the point of our votes being counted IN SPAIN by a Soros-owned company in order to ensure the results.

Kruschev is laughing his arse off from the grave.

Except for three things:

1) Our (presidential) nominee this time is presentable.

2) Our VP does not seem (so far) to have delegated the VP nominee to the sidelines.

3) People have now seen Obama, and many have now tired big-time of him.

All three of those things are big, and could mean a real difference this time.
