Sir, thank you for your concern for our fallen, their friends and families. the U.S. military command which supports training, counter-drug, and humanitarian missions in Central and South America and the Caribbean. The 1-228th Aviation Regiment is part of the U.S. Army South, who's Headquarters is at Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. More information about these units, including e-mail contact points, is available on the World Wide Web at: USARSO will release the Names and "home towns" of our fallen aviators once official notification of their next-of-kin is accomplished and we have insured that we have done all that we can to assist them in this time of grief. Privacy law and propriety prevent the release of the addresses of those families, but I'm sure that their Commanders and fellow soldiers would be happy to pass on your condolences.
