On Sept. 6, 2016, Neal B. Freeman of the National Review published an interview with Angelo Codevilla, the author of The Ruling Class. The bottom line was that Dr. Codevilla has concluded that what he has estimated to be two-thirds of the countrys citizens are increasingly falling in with the increasing number of those who intend to vote for Donald J. Trump as president, despite having an opinion that he has significant shortcomings and that they are doing so because of their dissatisfaction, as the country class, with the ruling class.

People have been able, with regard to one candidate, to obtain vast amounts of information, about his history, about what he has said and done in the past and what he is saying and doing in his campaign, and to intercommunicate about him amongst themselves to the point where, knowing his imperfections, they balance information and decide that, despite flaws, he is capable of relatively honest and competent leadership and worthy of their vote. Whereas, with regard to the other candidate, the massive amount of information and the intercommunication about it leads to the conclusion that she is incapable of truth and of leadership in a direction away from continuing unhealthy dominance of the old media by the ruling class.

I sure this is true.
If Hillary wins I shall no longer stand for the National Anthem.
I sure hope this is true.
If Hillary wins I shall no longer stand for the National Anthem.
Hillary is a communist from the 1960’s
If Trump wins he’ll save America from communism
Well, I'm down with that. It's not who he is, it's what he says, which we we haven't heard lately. He stepped up, when no one else was even near there. He's electric.
The man has flaws and I suspect he’ll disappoint us more than a few times in office, but I don’t doubt the love he has for this country and the people in it. He’s the right man at this moment in our nation’s history.
All of the vast information we now have access to will start to dwindle about three days from now. The Internet takeover by the Third World dictators in the United Nations in two days will bring an end to freedom and liberty.
The “Ruling Class” wants this to happen so don’t look for anything to stop it from our Senate or House.

He is our voice!
I don’t think even they would be so foolish as to try to take it to Chinese levels all over the world, not so quickly. The kids and the hackers will still run rings around them. Obama might have been a pushover for them, but in the practical sense, they’ll have a war on their hands.
Agree with your every word, except for "right." I don't think Trump is exactly the right man for the moment -- just the last one standing against Hillary. That's good enough to earn my vote. But you're right: He WILL disappoint.
He does have flaws as we all do. He will disappoint us too. I don’t think the people who will vote for him see him as a savior. We are not assigning messianic qualities to him the way the brain dead Obama voters did in 2008. He is just the first step back from the brink.
Codevilla is a brilliant guy and I find his analysis to be spot on. Whether Trump can save the republic is difficult to predict, but one thing is certin: 4 or 8 years of Hillary will be the end of it. This is our last chance.
“. . . don’t look for anything to stop it from our Senate and House.
The same Senate and House has once again caved on the budget this week. Perhaps we should just end the pretense of 3 equal branches of government. Disband Congress and let the POTUS and courts rule by decree.
I agree. Trump has to win .
And he is the only one in the world that can fix this mess .
If you doubt that go see the firs 30-40 minutes of the debate he lays some of it out there.

If Hillary wins I will likely be incarcerated or buried for my reaction.
Trump said he will reduce regulations on businesses large and small
2. Bring in the $5 trillion waiting to come invest in the USA
3. fix NAFTA that Clinton signed where Mexico can't charge a 16% vat tax
4. stop U.S. companies from leaving the USA
5. reduce taxes on U.S. companies
and much more. Trump is a genius.
Yesterday Hillary said something that wrapped this election up.
Something Beck, Graham, McCain, Medved, et al need to recognize.
She said,
“In 40 days we will determine the direction of the Country for the next 40 years.”
That is a good (and comforting) point. We do live in interesting times!
I don’t think many people are voting for him for any other reason than to give the middle finger to the establishment.
I like what he stands for.
Whether he can get the cooperation of Congress to push it through or not is another matter.
