Interesting, I am 77 years old, born and raised without parents. All my adult life I have been trying to get a birth certificate. Finally, 4 years ago I managed to get my delayed birth certificate. When I tried to get a passport card to go on a short cruise to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary I was told I cannot get one unless I have someone who can attest to my birth that was there. At my age, good luck on someone who is still alive. This is what is happening to our freedom. Paperwork upon paperwork just to be able to go or do something. It's a sad day that whatever happens our government reacts with another requirement. I feel for my great grandkids. God knows what they will faced with as adults.
Write your Congressman.
Welcome to FR.
Just tell them you’re an illegal immigrant and they will gladly supply you a passport.
Yes, write or phone your Congress critter and welcome to Free Republic!
Post CWI our freedoms were dead, we just didn’t realize it until 9/11.
That’s not particularly new. I remember a relative having to jump through those hoops in the late 1960s to get a passport. She was in her 40s at the time, so she was able to put together a portfolio and get one, but she never let a passport expire, since she knew it would be more and more difficult to get what she needed as time passed.
Were you baptized as an infant in a church that maintains baptismal records? Any other secondary proofs?

Born without parents. Clone?
That's quite an accomplishment!
There is a similar weirdness with people born in the Panama Canal Zone. There is no successor to the PCZ. You can’t get records from either the US or the Republic of Panama.
Traitorous Demonicrat and RINO politicians and the people who keep electing them to federal and state and local offices.
If you got the birth certificate, why is there a problem getting a passport?
I also am 77 and think my age is the last era to know freedom. Before all the alphabet bureaucracy’s were formed.. kids were home when the street lights were on. No soft porn commercials on tv, filth on most programs, crime was not an in your face lead in papers, kids were taught to be polite, and I feel sorry for the kids of today, they live in a socialist country and the GD government has its heel on every ones neck.
You can renew a passport simply by sending in an updated picture with the expired passport. That’s all you need!
“I also am 77 and think my age is the last era to know freedom”
Yep,we knew the best of it.

There are plenty of movements that following exactly this line of thinking. The government leviathan has become so immense that I have to get a license just to cast a line from a fishing dock on my own property. The license is free, but if I don’t have it and am asked to present it by a state official (on my own property), I can be fined.
This whole world is mad.
Welcome to FR jsunset. .....but if you were only an illegal alien you wouldn’t have to worry about such things eh.
It has to be expired less than 15 years, but the time used to be shorter.
