If something happened like that here, you’d quickly know what a tragic threat to our security as a nation would truly look like! Everything from the economy to potential blowback against muslims here would cause utter chaos!

If something like that happened here, you'd quickly know that Ron Paul is a hardcore Second Amendment supporter.

How are we to witness for Christ without access?

We have access. I know several guys who own or run businesses in the ME- Morocco, Bahrain and Cairo to be specific. They're getting a whole lot of people saved, more effectively than the traditional missionary model. It doesn't work there.

20MT = 20 million tons

Yes, I considered that might be what the poster meant, and shied away from the possibility that he really meant 20 megatons, which means a thermonuclear warhead like those designed to take out entire Soviet cities. The idea that an H-bomb is more reasonable than having special forces, "boots on the ground," take out Osama is absurd. Even a megaton weapon requires targeting, which can only be achieved by "boots on the ground" anyway. We couldn't even locate the terrorist strongholds in Iraq until our large ground forces stabilized things enough that the populace dared to squeal on the terrorists, allowing them to be targeted.

True, we wouldn’t even need the UN AND we wouldn’t have experienced Saddam.

Christians free to practice Christianity under Saddam? I wouldn’t know I wsan’t there to see it for myself. Could be they didn’t flee in droves under Saddam because they couldn’t. I don’t recall Christians being able to say too much under Saddam. Come to think of it, secular, sunni, shiite, kurds...24 million said only what Saddam would HAVE them say.

You refuse to choose evil even if it’s the lesser of two. I personally like it. I assume it’s related to the elections?

Meryl had to do it, choose one or let both children perish.

We have access NOW. By withdrawing from the ME we’ll lose much if not all of it. Sharia law doesn’t permit it.

I would hope, but his plan to withdrawal makes it much more likely.

Who is this ‘we’ you speak of? The guys I’m talking about have no intention of withdrawing, nor do their hosts want them gone. They’re making a living, helping the other countrys’ economies, and changing lives for Christ. They actually have genuine friendships with muslims, which is what gives them spiritual leverage.

That’s all well and good, right now, but if al-qaeda were disengaged from Iraq, you seriously don’t think they’d just go home and call it a day do you?

We are engaged in a war with an idiology that would destroy us.

What is this boogeyman that would destroy us? Does it have an identity? A name?

And your boy wants to run from the battle for the future of civilization and worry about arcane constitutional interpretation? !

You are naive if you believe there is a "battle for the future of civilization." That Orwellian phrase is a sickening excuse for endless war with no base in reality, and exactly how we will lose what we claim.

Btw, There is no war on terror. Our "key" ally in this bogus war is the major exporter of jihadi syndrome.

a significant number of Americans value their country’s great Constitution, that many conservatives reject wiretaps...and senseless wars. There is far more realism in Paul’s analysis than can be found in those Republicans who believe that Washington’s policy of borrowing billions from China to pay for the occupation of a growing number of countries is desirable, much less sustainable.

Ron Paul has been a breath of fresh air in an otherwise desultory Republican campaign. Long may he run

Agreed! Thanks for the ping, CJ.

One of Saddam's top guys...can't remember his name, I think he is dead now, identified himself as a Catholic, the Pope even met with him to scold him if I recall.

She and both her children could have been martyrs and gone straight to heaven.

Hehe...yeah I think I recall that now that you mention it.

People said Hitler was a Christian merely because he quoted scripture from his pulpit at Nurenberg also.

True enough, I can hardly imagine such a predicament, who knows what we would do if faced with such a thing.

Luckily a pick between Obamination of Islam or Shrillary vs. McCane or Romney isn’t so dramatic!

Well he was a bad Catholic, but he was still allowed to be Catholic- that's why I said he identified himself as such. = )

And no the Romney/Hitlary/McCain/Obama dilemma is not nearly as dramatic, so it's rather easy to choose Ron Paul.

. . . and worry about arcane constitutional interpretation? !

It's nice to see how highly the Constitution is regarded around here lately.

Oh I saw that comment coming from a mile away. (rolls eyes)

So back at ya... trying to convince Americans were in some kind of constitutional crisis because the IRS or Federal Reserve hasnt been abolished is..... daft.

Good luck.
