"There is far more realism in Paul’s analysis than can be found in those Republicans who believe that Washington’s policy of borrowing billions from China to pay for the occupation of a growing number of countries is desirable, much less sustainable."

“>>>>Oddly enough you failed to mention that the US has only intervened in cases where...well...those that go around and pick fights, or bully other countries to conform to THEIR liking.”

And in some cases, should not have.

We sure won’t somehow have less problems by leaving Iraq in a huge mess!

What makes you think we can fix the problems in the ME if they haven't been able to fix them themselves for oh I don't know, hundreds of years?

And your boy wants to run from the battle for the future of civilization and worry about arcane constitutional interpretation? !

I'm sure liberals say the same thing about the 2nd amendment. Maybe we need to fix the constitution the right way to deal with the threats of today instead of endless violations to our sacred document. I can tell you he would not leave our troops out to dry and would seek council from the joint chiefs on the way forward, that is reality not politics.

Well I didn’t mean converting U.S citizens to Christianity.

But as part of a war on a foreign cult, the cult of Islam then the U.S. troops and missionaries should convert Muslims in other countries to Christianity.

If you read about Islam then you will see the problem.

http://www.faithfreedom.org/index.htm

We came to see that Islam is a hoax, an imperialistic ideology, disguised as religion, invented by a narcissist for his own personal gains. We found out that Muhammad was a conman, a ventriloquist who projected his own words into his imaginary dummy deity to fool the gullible. With a promise of a carnal and orgiastic paradise (just for men) and threat of hell he goaded his foolhardy followers to raid and slay innocent people under the pretext that they were infidels. He and his merry band of terrorists looted villages and cities, raped the women, and enslaved all who were not killed outright. To this day, Muslim jihadis are following the footsteps of their prophet who bragged, “I have been made victorious with terror” . No other cause is responsible for more deaths than Islam. Our goal is to expose this religion of terror and warn of its danger. We also want to help Muslims see the stupidity of it, end their “us” vs. “them” ethos and embrace the human race in amity. No one is their enemy; it is they who are the enemy to everyone else. We strive for the unity of mankind through the elimination of Islam, the most insidious doctrine of hate. Humanity is one; let not charlatans like Hitler and Muhammad divide us with their big lies.

Islam can’t be reformed, but it can be eradicated. It can’t be molded, but it can be smashed. It is rigid, but brittle. That is why Muslims can’t tolerate criticism of it. To eradicate Islam, all we have to do is tell the truth. It’s that simple. This was not possible before, but with the help of the Internet, it is now. The asininity of this creed is so glaringly obvious that it boggles the mind. All it takes to see that is to read the Qur’an.

The truth about Islam is out. It’s here on this site. With truth and reason alone we can demolish this tall tower of lies. If you help spread the truth we can bring this house of cards down sooner than anyone can imagine

So with that logic we should stop trying to find a cure for cancer?

This is what the world must have the courage to confront.

Frankly my gut feeling is it will never fully happen and Biblical prophecy speaks about an Armageddon that involves Islam defeated only then.

Ron Paul is a better choice than anyone that is still standing

So with that logic we should stop trying to find a cure for cancer?

If by "we" you mean the government, which actually means individual peoples' funds taken by the government through taxes to invest in finding a cure, yes "we" should stop. If you mean "we" as noble scientists in the field who are backed by voluntary contributers who invest in them I'm all for it.

“You people sound exactly like anti-war liberals.”

Please quantify this statement.

“It is engaging those that would destroy us and taking the fight to them!”

There you go again, what exactly do you call that? You have not mentioned any threats or provocations in these statements. “those that would destroy us “ more pond scum?

“No attacks since 9-11 is NOT an accident.”

No, it’s a flipping miracle that someone hasn’t brought something across our wide open border to destroy us!

“We are engaged in a war with an idiology that would destroy us.”

There you go again! An “IDIOLOGY”? Is that the “the battle for the future of civilization”?

The United States of America is bigger than you portray her, our country believes in a God that is bigger than any of our enemies, and we are blessed to have a military that can womp any terrorist a$$, and the world knows that!

To eradicate Islam, all we have to do is tell the truth.

And I would add, living lives that witness to Christ. I don't see how bombing nations, and supporting dictators when it suits us accomplishes this.

I give up.

Paulites are seriously out of touch with reality.

The man will never be President, and that I am grateful for.

You are “free” to have your opinion, and I am “free” to have mine.

I know in my heart we both really do want only the very best for our country, and with that I will say “good night”.

In a perfect world the UN would do it’s job or even average arabs would confront Islam. Hell it would be nice if private militas confronted terrorists and we never had to pay a dime or get involved at all!

We either confront it sooner and farther from home or we confront it right here in our own streets later.

I just don’t see many other scenarios.

Frankly...we’re doing both already...the first WTC attack...then 9-11...but we’ve had several close calls also.

Unfortuantely we’ll also be needing oil until we come up with an alternative.

Or at least convince enough people to drill in ANWR etc.

How are we to witness for Christ without access?

Interesting tag line, but it makes me curious...did you ever see the movie Sophie’s Choice?

Meryl Srtreep is on a railway platform with her daughter and son and a nazi explains she can take only one child with her or lose both.

In a perfect world the UN wouldn't exist. Iraq had an evil dictator but it was a fairly secular nation. Christians were allowed to practice their religion. They have since fled Iraq in droves from what I have read.

> A small-”t” trident?

My apologies for missing the shift key.

> I assume you mean a Trident sub,

Correct.

> and by 20MT you mean 20,000 tons, which is just about the
> power of the Hiroshima nuclear bomb.

No, it is my impression that these subs are armed with 20 Megaton warheads. I may be wrong.

I am not a Ron Paul voter. I don’t agree with him on several points.

However, I do believe that he has a Constitutional Compass and would do what is right for this country.

By the way, I think I read somewhere that a 20 MT burst at 10 miles altitude would knock out electronics and electricity for about a 100 mile radius without any blast damage on the ground and very little radioactive fallout.

This is called an EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) attack.

Perhaps the next time somebody kills thousands of people on American soil, such an EMP attack can be mounted on the capitols of nations sponsoring the terrorism, followed by a threat to detonate such devices at a much lower altitude the next time.

Don’t know, but it might be better than mounting an invasion.

So, what part of our military was lacking? I understand the FBI was tracking many of the hijackers--they just didn't pick them up.

Let's not forget Able Danger. The DIA knew all about Atta and his buds, but ridiculous DC groupthink and the logic of lawyers prevented any action from being taken.
