Ron Paul's presidential campaign is getting cash infusion today from grass roots activists on the internet. The activists plan to get 100,000 people to donate $100 each, boosting the campaign by 10 million dollars in a day.
Whether the goal of 10 million dollars in a day is achieved remains to be seen. The campaign as of 10 PM Sunday night had risen just under 2.8 million for the quarter.
As of Monday, 9:30 AM Eastern time, Pauls campaign has risen over a million dollars bringing the total to over 4.1 million for the quarter.
Pauls campaign raised over 5 million in the third quarter and had over 5 million cash on hand at the start of this quarter.
The one day fund raising push is already a success and it hasnt shown any signs of losing momentum. Pauls campaign had nothing to do with the grass roots effort which makes it even more impressive.
Ron Paul voted against the Iraq war and says he will bring the troops home immediately. Paul seeks to eliminate federal income taxes and wants to reform the monetary system by authorizing competing currencies backed by gold and silver.
Paul also voted against the Patriot Act and has been an outspoken defender of the Bill of Rights.
Not a bad fund raising day for a few techno geeks with cell phones, eh? It’s great to see the most authentic, conservative Republican running getting this kind of grassroot support.
Thank you for your service and your comments. I agree with your opinion of Ron Paul. I am going to donate another $100 in your (silent) honor.
HUZZAAAH!!!! 7 Million and counting!!!
Who do you think he’ll choose as his VP once he’s president?
I hope Mike Huckabee.
Those two would make a fantastic team. Tom Tancredo would be fantastic too! Or Hunter!
Hey, when is the last time we’ve had so many good people vying for the nomination?
11:55! It’s at 7,068,932.16!!!
I can’t keep up it’s going so fast! :o)
11:57! 7,075,340.60
11:59
7,088,473.92!!!!!!!!!
What a spectacle that those Dirty Hippie Spammers have victimized poor Ron Paul again by spamming him with their dirty fiat money. They have no shame apparently.
WOOT! WOOT!!!
YOU GO RON!!!!
:o) :o) :o)
George, I fell asleep. Was up all night watching the banner. Its amost 1pm here in Asia. Midnight in NYC. GREAT DAY FOR RON PAUL.
You guys did a hell of a job.
EEE,
What can the haters say now? Guess it wasn’t a bunch of sixteen year olds all this time spamming polls for RP. He not only wins some of these polls but he turns these real people who support him into opening up his wallets.
I hope the MSM gives him some headlines on this instead of burying it on the 5th page.
If McCain, Huckabee and some of these others raised 20 thousand dollars in a day, the whole world would know about it. Love the media blackout.
4 million plus, WOW!!
Thank you for making that point. It's worth a few bucks to give voice to someone who actually speaks his mind about true conservatism.
4 million plus, WOW!!
HUZZAH!!!!!
And the ticker’s still going up!
Ron Paul supporters don’t give up!
Onward! CHAAARGE!
Oh, I’d take Walter Williams in a heartbeat!!
Mike Huckabee is a loser, but a smart pick for Paul would be Mark Sanford of SC. Both of them served together in Congress, and are good friends.
“Thank God for the internet!!!”
You aren’t kidding!!!!!
As far as I’m concerned, mainstream news can go to hades and stay stuck there.
No matter what happens with Paul’s campaign, there are a few million newly energized genies out of the bottle who are motivated to further the cause of individual freedom in this nation. Most rockin’.
PAUL'S A KOOK! CODE PINK HACKED INTO BANKS DATABASES AND WIRED THE MONEY TO PAUL!
Who’s Mark Sanford of SC? Never heard of him. I’m sure he’d be great since you recommended him, but....
We need to get Paul in there with his tough stance on certain issues, along with Huckabee with his ability to strongly sway Values Voters - and Hitlery won’t stand a chance.
She’ll be laughing her way to the funny farm.
Thank God for real people too.
I’m just sad no 2K plus dollar donations came from rich chinese dishwashers or busboys. Hillary already tapped into that market.
We had to settle for real people making real donations no matter what the size.
Lets hope he converts these dollars into primary wins!!!!
