A "joyful noise" can also describe chanting or singing, so I don't see that as "disposing of the Psalms."These joyful noises are spoken of as if spontaneous praise. Telling parishoners not to do so squelches spontaneous praise.
There are plenty of Christian sects that have issues with dancing, either in services or period.
It can be one or a billion, but having "issues" with dancing in praise of the LORD is scripturally unsupported.
2 Samuel 6:14 - And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

I invite you to go to a Catholic Mass, and see how disruptive "sponaneous praise" would be. There's a time and place for everything.

These joyful noises are spoken of as if spontaneous praise. Telling parishoners not to do so squelches spontaneous praise. Nobody has ever said that the Mass is supposed to be "spontaneous praise" in the first place. The fact that religious services are scheduled at specific times, and held according to a specific set of prayers and rubrics, would indicate that they are very clearly not spontaneous.
Anyone who wants to engage in spontaneous worship can just as easily do it outside on the street -- you don't even need to be in a church building.

David also allowed his soldiers to consume consecrated food, a big no-no under Mosaic law. (It was deemed okay, because it was necessary.)
His dancing was not during high ritual, and Paul talks against people speaking out during "prayer meetings," an apparent reference to mass. During the mass, the attention should be on the Word, and the Eucharist. At other times, people may engage in their own private practices, so long as they do not disturb others.
