UG has a normal name, I find this amusing if you were to read the ward directoty for manhattan various wards you would see normal names for those coming from Utah for school or work! In the past 21 years I have not seen names like these! Who are these folks?

Which raises another problem. Are the numbers the number at the time of marriage, the number in light of all of the person's wives or their ranking at the time of the death of either the wife or the husband.

Ideally my thought was the sequential number. So Joe's first wife was 1, etc.

Does the multiple wives confusion discussion embarass you? I can understand if it would. Actually, I empathize with those women. Being #19 in the harem must have been awful. Being #1 and having hubby say either accept others or be eternally damned by God, would be hard to handle without anger. Emma and Eliza have my empathy and respect.
