Care to take P-Marlowe up on this?

How about a P-Marlowe vs TRACER thread dedicated to debate: The LDS Faith, true or false?

All the other LDS headed for the hills. They want no discussion where they can't duck, avoid or name call.

Ground rules:

[1] All comments posted by other than the two of you will be ignored and unresponded to by the two of you.

[2] You both will refrain from all name calling.

[3] Statements will be substantiated and sourced.

[4] Questions asked by the other will be answered in a straight forward manner. If you do not know the answer, you will state that you do not.

[5] No question will be ignored or avoided.

We don't seek to debate the things of God and won't do so. We are here to teach, and that is our charge. "Convincing" is the role of the Holy Spirit, not ours -- and certainly not yours or any other sophist who is looking to hit a home run without the benefit of any identifiable Priesthood authority That's how it is and it is not up for debate.

If you want to learn, then listen and do so. If not, take your bigotry and spew it at someone who enjoys the thrill of contention. Those whom you seem to revile have better things to do...

Actually Steve its probably as good a time as any to resume the debates. I was busier than a one armed paper hanger for the last few months, but things seem to have settled down a bit (either that or I've gotten used to working 80 hours a week) and I might be able to devote a little time to a good honest debate on the issues.

I think post 111 from the old thread is a good place to start.

So tracer, your Church's first article of faith begins with the statement "We believe in God....."

So, Lets start with this question: To quote the Hithikers Guide to the Galaxy,

"Who is this God person anyway?"

Is he an unchangable being from all eternity to all eternity or is he an exhalted man who is ever growing and ever learning?

How do you define this God you believe in?
