A sign of the Apocalypse???? ;-) Is that a Pre mil or Post mil...(They think it has all ready happened..a mil ago) *grin*
This proves that the doctrinal differences that seperate " Protestants" (although xzins and dec are NOT a protestant) are no where near as deep as they look to "outsiders"
Jude that are WRONG on election and predestion.....but still family......but they are shhhhh
slow

Hey Fed I didn't know you were Reformed **Baptist**..would you pray for the start up Reform Baptist Church I have been attending? There are NO Reform Churchs in the area other than a Bible Presbyterian in a nearby town..
As for the usefulness??? A year ago Jude and I were Arminian...the circular argument drew us in ..and after hearing the same thing over and over it finally sunk in .........God REALLY IS IN CHARGE ....what an awsome realization.....Than you to the hard noses that kept at it

"I note a real loss of diversity on that forum when I go and some pretty dumb "news" articles. I think the expression is 'dumbed down'".That's the way the "enlightened" 'elite' FR corp prefer it -- and it keeps the 'posse ping-ees' from having to think too much for themselves ;-)
" Ya know the folks that post on the religious forum are some pretty smart folks...This is not a "forum of "backwater illiterates"...some Biblethumpers that know nothing else...Most of the posters on the Religion forum are well informed and highly motivated citizens...( that now post alot less on the news forum:>)
I agree with your assessment 100%....
With all due respect to JimRob, to embrace PCism by essentially alienating and ostracizing folks who happened to be amongst the most clear-thinking FReepers was illogical as well as "cutting off the nose to spite the face" IMO. Maybe he was advised by the "darker-side" of FR that those unsophisticated "bible-thumpers" might somehow be a "liability" problem?? ;-)

Is The Religion Forum Working? No, in my opinion it's becoming not much more than a propaganda tool for the Pope. IOW's, too many "isn't the Pope great" threads.

Post something ...we can not complain that it is used too much by others if we do not use it ourselves....

Yeah, I know, but I was just making an observation. The sheer volume of those type of threads is startling, and most by the same poster.

I love lively debate, minus ad hominem insults and oversensitive knee jerk reactions.

I see your a Independent Fundamentalist Baptist, so am I, not too many of us on here. :) Have ya ever been to the Never Ending Story threads? If not come on by and join in, there is group of us there that have been posting for almost 2 years now, we know each other pretty well and like each other, but it does get heated at times, but we say were sorry and start over, we have catholics, baptists, 1 Jew, pretreist, and some we don't know what they are yet :)
Come on over were there most every day, its kinda slow for the summer and some have a heavy work load, but it goes every day, on a normal day we get up to 350-450 posts, 500-600 on a heavy day, we could use some fresh input. Oh yeah my wife post under PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain also and signs her name, Becky, and there is another Independent Fundamentalist Baptist, ksen there also, so come on by and jump in any time.

Jesus loves ugly people too. He doesn't look at the outward appearance, but at the heart!
