That wasn't a yes or no answer. Please reply with a simple yes or no to part #2 of the question.

I answered your question exactly as you asked me to Here.

Thus:

Your question was prefaced like this: "Answer this question, then ONLY with a yes or a no:"

You aksed: "Does God have the perogative as the self-proclaimed, "master potter", to make out of the same lump of clay (all of mankind) some individuals for noble purposes, and some for common use as he says in Romans 9:21? Or do you think he doesn't claim that perogative over all peoples?"

My answer, per your instructions: Yes!

Before all this I aked you the following question, which you have never answered:

here:

You evidently believe there is no difference whatsoever between those who are saved and those who are not. Is that correct? If this is not correct, please tell us what difference there will be in those who are saved from those who are not.

And I have asked you the following very simple questions twice without receiving any answer:

"Is it possible to be saved without repentance and faith? Do you also consider faith, work? How about repentance?"

Now, if all the other questions are too hard for you, then at least answer these. If you do not answer at least these, please do not ask me any more questions, as you will have demonstrated you complete insincerity in dealing with issues of truth.

(I would be gratified if any Calvinist felt confident enough to answer those three questions.)

Now, don't you think it would be curteous to answer my questions before I answer you insipid inane question(s) again?

But, since your questions are asked with a condition on how they can be answered, I will answer your question again only if you answer the following with a simple yes or no:

Have you stopped telling lies today?

Hank

As you wish, here is you answer:

Simple yes or no.

(You make the oddest requests!)

"But Jesus ... does not say that looking upon a woman to lust after her is the equivalent of committing adultery (that is, actually having sex), but of being guilty of it in his heart (a mental or intellectual condition). Here's the quote: Mat. 5:28 "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

So the act of choosing to hate one's fellow man and God will be no biggie in the day when God says he will JUDGE the secrets of men's hearts?[Romans 2:16; Matt.5:21]

"How about a yes and no?"

Your cognitive dissonance slip is showing AGAIN. :D

I quoted: Mat. 5:28 "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

You said: So the act of choosing to hate one's fellow man and God will be no biggie in the day when God says he will JUDGE the secrets of men's hearts?[Romans 2:16; Matt.5:21]

Are you arguing with me or with what Jesus said. If you think you are arguing with me, I assure you, I agree with what He said.

"..since your questions are asked with a condition on how they can be answered..."

Not all of them. You may go into more detail when answering this one:

Do you walk to work or carry your lunch?

All of a sudden the Calvinist's are tongue-tied (or keyboard-locked). Not one can or is willing to answer these simple questions.

You can answer in any way you wish. I put no restrictions on the manner of your answer, as some do.

Is it possible to be saved without repentance and faith? Do you also consider faith, work? How about repentance?

"Are you arguing with me or with what Jesus said."

I never argue with one-armed boat rowers --- after hours of going in circles their boats eventually sink.

And no ... I'm not talking about Jesus. :D

Do you walk to work or carry your lunch?,p> Oh, my child....

I would love to walk to work and carry my lunch. I am totally disabled, housebound, and work from home.

How about you?

You act as if those questions have never been answered here on these FR threads ad infinitum. Look them up in the archives if you're reeeeally interested in the answers.

I'm sorry to hear you're disabled -- I didn't know.

Please excuse the "one-armed boat-rower" comment --- it was merely a metaphor denoting "circular reasoning" --- a mental / intellectual condition.

Please excuse ....

Oh my, I didn't write that to lay a guilt trip on you. I'm sorry. You didn't offend me. It's a perfectly good metaphor, and I appreciate that, not offended at all.

Besides, I have the skin of an elephant, (some say the head, too) so it's very difficult to offend me, and impossible with words.

Well I have, but they are contradictory, and I want to be able to follow up with the one that actually has the moral fortitude to take a position. I notice you haven't answered any of the questions I've asked. Hmmmmm.

Faith and repentance are gifts of God.

Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

Faith does not save Hank..Faith in Jesus Christ saves...and that is saving faith a gift of God..It is generated not by carnal man but by the spirit of God.

1Cr 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

Sola Gracia ....Sola Fide

"Repentance and faith" are the natural activities of one who has been born again, just as breathing is the natural activity of one who is physically alive.

When one is "born from above", he naturally does those things that regenerate folk do. He practices repentance and faith.

Your point?

The question was not how faith and repentance occurred, whether they were a gift or not, but if it were possible to be saved without them. I assume you believe you cannot be save without faith and repentance, which I agree are gifts from God, as are all things.

Is that correct? And very importantly, is faith a work? Is repentance a work? You did not answer those questions. On other threads, Calvinists have asserted that faith and repentance are works. Is that your position? Hank
