There is a schism in the American Catholic Church ... the dissenters are not brave enough to leave.

E mail I sent:
Are the bishops going to address the subject of homesexuality in the priesthood? I think there needs to be a prerequesite (such as in the marriage process) that seminarians and priests walk through.

Guess I should have worded that message this way.

Oh, well, when one gets excited...........................

For the cubicle bound...

The first speaker was great in that he really put it to the Bishops that they are as or more guilty than the perps... I was pretty upbeat until he made the veiled mention of women's ordination being thoroughly discussed and how women in the Church are marginalized.

The woman speaker was awful, I thought, definately an agenda - she really pushed for the laity having a much larger involvement (as did the male speaker), and Raymond Arroyo correctly, IMO, pointed out that it seems like they want the laity ordained as well. (and the laity cannot agree within our ranks...my comment, not theirs)

It speaks volumes that these two were the invited speakers...

I'm not feeling too good.

"Rose colored glasses of her own agenda."

I love Fr. Gould. Give it to Margaret!

They're now pointing out that most of the dissenters are not exactly spring chickens.

The priest is saying that the last speaker has filters on.

"Come to Margaret forum, rather than come to Jesus forum"

We need to purge ourselves of the progressives... Fr. Gould on EWTN

Raymond - Bishop document is not addressing the root cause of the problem and what do we do about it..

Next speaker, back to the conference..

Gregory is pretty good today... he is orthodox... mentioning the rich traditions of the Church, mentioned the BVM...

Unfortunately, I now count as cubicle-bound. On our cable system, some stations have to share, and I guess EWTN had its turn. Some Protestant music fest on now.
