Thanks for the ping.

Some history we don't see reported in America much. Nor does what is happening to the Catholics in current Communist China.

This also reminds me of how the Church in Czechoslovakia suffered and dear Cardinal Mindszenty (sp?) in Hungary. What horrors the Church has seen in our times, and what brave saints have stood up to the demon's henchmen, the Communists.

The latter part of the article is almost too much to bear. My poor mind can't fathom it.

This may be one of the saddest things I have ever read in my life.
Please accept my thanks though for posting it. It is a great witness to me.
Please pray for me and my family. My son has been in an out of the hospital with an unexplained recuring fever of 104 degrees. He is so little, and I can't do anything but ask others to pray for him. His name is Michael. Thank you.

Prayers for young Michael.
To the Holy Infant of good health
Little infant Jesus of God Health, God of love born to suffer for us! In You we find the courage and strength we need in the trial and troubles of this world that weigh so heavily upon us.
By the sorrows of Your most Holy Mother, I implore you to lighten the burdens of our souls with Your consolations and relieve little michaels bodily infirmities with your merciful kindness. In the Fathers name! Amen!

Oh God bless you! Thank you so much. I thank you with all my heart for your prayers.
To: OxfordMovement
I have written Michael's name in my prayer notebook. And I will get off line right now to pray the rosary for him, you, your wife, and your family. May the love of the Divine Child Jesus surround and support you and bringing the blessing of peace to your heart.
I will pray for his healing and for doctors to have wisdom in figuring out what's wrong. God bless.

More evidence of Satan in the modern world...

A very good post! Thank you. The truth must be gotten out.
I've recently been reading Robert Kaplan's books on his travels through Eastern Europe. In fact, several of his books provide extensive history of Eastern Europe and the migrations from the Asia which originally populated it, and the Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches.
Eastern Europe has suffered two devastating occupations: first the Ottoman Empire's invasion and subjugation, then the Nazis and the Communists (which I classify as a continuation of similar totalitarian brutality). The Ottoman occupation was as brutal. Which stands in marked contrast to the brilliance of Attaturk, and the abysmal failure of the 'milder' socialism of today's Europe.
I recommend Kaplan's books to get a sweeping overview. But this article, LarryLied, is a snapshot of a dominant and evil religion (socialism) determined to destroy Western Civilization and its primary religions.

how the Church in Czechoslovakia suffered The Strahov Monastery in Prague is beautiful today. Charles university, which was Jesuit, has the best English library in the city. Under communism, only top party officials were able to access it. It has one of the better assortment of pro-capitalist books I've seen.

IMHO,the Mongolian Tartar invasions of Eastern Europe and Russia were the most brutal,(in the 13th century).Russia had no wooden Churches standing after these invasions, except for in Novgorod(which was also in the Hanseatic league). The Teutonic Knights had as much to do as any group with Russia being against Catholicism. King Jan Sobieski had a resounding victory against the Turks at Vienna Austria around 1683.After this Poland went down quickly,as Moscow ascended to take all of what is now Russia.Of course the Serbs,Bulgarians, and Macedonians took the brunt of the Ottoman Empires rage as they slowly lost their European possessions.
