FR. Adamo wrote a regular column for the Philly Daily News which has an anti-catholic bias like many east coast papers. To call it a rag is compliment. I have no doubt that Fr. Adamo witnessed some really ugly stuff. He was very, very liberal for a man of his age and often wrote pro married priesthood articles and had a subversive viewpoint. I rarely agreed with him but he was sincere and humble by todays standards.
