I'll pray this prayer, it's appropriate and well-said.

Thank you.

Closing Prayer—Litany to the Holy Spirit

The leader recites the invocations, to which all respond:

Come, dwell with us.

Spirit of the living God (2 Corinthians 3:3)
Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11);
Spirit who had been promised (Ephesians 1:13);
Spirit richly poured out on us (Titus 3:6);
Spirit of grace (Hebrews 10:29);
Spirit of truth (John 14:17);
Spirit who comes to the aid of our weakness (Romans 8:26);
Spirit who intercedes for us (Romans 8:26);
Spirit who intercedes for the holy ones (Romans 8:27);
Holy Spirit, the Paraclete (John 14:16).

Leader: Let us pray. (All pray briefly in silence.)
God our Father, pour out upon the world the gifts of your Holy Spirit.
As you sent the Spirit upon the Church to begin the teaching of the gospel,
now let the Spirit continue to work in the world through the hearts of all who believe.We ask this through Christ our Lord.
(Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit)

All: Amen.

A hymn to the Spirit (such as “Come Holy Ghost) may be sung, and a final blessing invoked, as all answer “Amen” to each petition.

Leader: May God bless us with the Spirit’s gifts and enlighten us as followers of Christ.

May the fiery tongues that hovered above the disciples burn away all evil and inflame our hearts.

May the Spirit that prompted various tongues unite all believers in faith and love.

May God bless us, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
