I'm sure some are "sorry", but continuing in the same practice in an ongoing fashion is evidence that contrition is not genuine.

Which brings us to #7. Do you ever repeat the same sins? Even though you repented and confessed once, do you ever repeat the same thing over and over?

If they were genuinely contrite, they would seek God's goodness to repent.

And you judge this "genuine contriteness" how?

But they shouldn't be in leadership positions. If yall want to keep them in the church doing something else after they have served their time (I assume your church is now reporting this?) that's up to yall but you have to assume responsibility if you do.
