Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |
The word of God is only found in the word of God, and the sword (weapon)of the Holy Spirit, is the word, and with out that word, we have no defense, and no full suit of armor.
Another one comes out of the woodwork. How sad to think that the Book is the complete Word of God.
Even sadder to think that inside the Book is the only place the Eternal Word may be found.

Utterly irrelevant. the point is that the wedding was comig soon. I don't know that the Bible is clear how long elapsed between the Annunciation and Joseph taking Mary for his own.
What you are doing is trying to distract. Reggie would be proud.

You might consider that some of us differentiate between "unscriptural" and "anti-scriptural."
"Un" and "anti" are pretty much the same thing.
The distinction to make is between things that are contradicted by Scripture (unscriptural or anti-scriptural) and those which are outside of Scripture (extra-Scriptural).

Again. I have context you don't. (Matthew 1:24 & 25) Man I don't envy you. I'd hate to have to constantly try and make chocolate pudding out of horsecrap. :-)
Just like the typically literalist to act in a typically literalist way.
Searching for strings is easy. Try searching for sentiment.
Like when I was referred to as "the Beast" earlier yesterday.
(Oh, I know I wasn't really, I am just imagining things. When one person responds to me and a second warns the first not to talk directly to "the Beast" it, of course, has nothing to do with me. I know how you argue.)

Did you ask your wife? Can you offer an explanation or just abuse?

I ask the church body to pray for me when I need it, and I have seen miracles happen from the praying. I don't ask just anybody to pray for me. Since the church body is the body of Christ, is in Christ, there is no mediator but Christ
Yes. Exactly. Now imagine that the Body of Christ is not divided into a "living" half and a "dead" half, but instead is united.

If someone told your wife a few months before your wedding that she was going to conceive a child, would your wife say "How is this possible?"
You're sure that there were only months before the impending nuptials ?
Joseph and Mary were betrothed. The marriage could have been years off.
Here's some more abuse for ya. The bible is very clear on how long. If you'd just bother to pick it up once in a while.
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
You have my sympathy.
You have just given the Catholic argument, except that you won't include Mary and the saints in heaven as part of the Church.
Bingo!
well scripture tells me to unite with other believers and meet together with them and pray.
And you believe death is some barrier to fully uniting with all of those who live in Christ, is that right?
I haven't seen Mary there in attendance, nor does scripture say that she is. The Lord tho, says that He is
The Lord is present, but His Body isn't? And you have no idea how revealing your admission is that you "haven't seen" the saints in your worship, so you don't believe.
In last week's Gospel, Thomas had to put his hand in Jesus' side before he would believe.
SD
See 50302. The point is irrelevant. The angel did not say that Mary would conceive that day, or next week. Then angel only said that she was "going to."
Think about it.

Obviously not that you could dicern.
Well, maybe so, but I'm not going to pray to them. It's forbidden by God in scripture and they did not die to save me, as Christ did
Huh? I thought you asked believers to pray for you cause they were the Body of Christ. Are you now saying that anyone that you ask to pray for you, by your definition, means that they "died to save you?"

I don't see how it relates to the idea of a woman going to be married who couldn't understand how she was to become pregnant. Did you ask your wife?
SD
I didn't have a "two day" theory. You are getting to be tiresome.
Just say "I don't want to think about why a betrothed woman would not know how she coudl become pregnant in the future."

If toast always lands butter-side down, and cats always land on their feet, what happen if you strap toast on the back of a cat and drop it?
