Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |
I just hope he never trips to the fact the Vatican secretly controls the SPAAS egg dye company and the candy co. that makes PEEPS. Then, we'd really never hear the end of it.
It sounds like Mat 11:11 is doing it's work.
No one said they never trod upon Gentile territory. What do you think those lands are that I listed for where the tribes went to as documented to date? All Gentile lands. And the charge was the charge. Saying they could also minister to gentiles doesn't remove their primary charge to the house of Israel. Scripture and history are in sync on where the tribes went. That would put the duties of ALL the apostles save for Paul primarily OUTSIDE the empire of Rome. Not just Peter - all of them.
Playing devil's advocate and trying to find a splinter of a chance that Peter might have gone near Rome doesn't give reason for him to be there for the rest of his life after the death of Christ. It isn't supportable scripturally. Nor historically given what his mission was, where it would have to lead him, and where we know he was by his own testimony. Begging whether Peter could have gone to Rome is as useful as begging whether he might have sailed to Hawaii - they're equally as relevant to his mission. A more useful question is not "couldn't he go to rome at some point in his life ever"; but, rather "Why on earth would he given what we know." Rome was in good hands with Paul. There was zero reason for ANY other apostle to be there other than to visit Paul.
You mean the Special Papal Agents Acting in Secrecy?
Turns out the Vatican also runs the vineagar market -- you don't really need it for the dyes to work.

Yeah, nothing says "Easter" quite like official Papal Peeps. ;o)
Here's a funny peeps page ... Lord of the Peeps: Fellowship of the Peep
And let's not forget are huge market share of the fake grass market. Nor our secret control of Hoover Vacuum from which we make millions when the fake grass clogs the vacuum Easter afternoon.
O.K., I just caught this. I know, I know, very slow, duh!-)
Peep Surgery |
Introduction: One of the great mysteries of the Peep species is that these creatures are always born as conjoined quintuplets. Some scientists have theorized that this arrangement, much like pack behavior in other species, serves as a natural protection against predators. As evidence, note that Peeps are most often consumed by predators only after they have been separated from their siblings. Conversely, Peeps which remain attached to their siblings are rarely preyed upon.
Nevertheless, as Peeps integrate into modern society, there is no ethical reason they should be denied the benefits of individualism, freed from the bonds of their sticky, marshmallow kin.
We thus applied the advances of modern medicine to attempt this miracle separation of these 5 brave volunteers.
Materials: In preparation of this never-before attempted surgery, a range of instruments and supplies were assembled. Our thanks go out to all those who will wonder on Monday where these instruments have gone. |
Operative Results: Overall, we view this operation as a resounding success. All five patients survived the procedure as viable, if not somewhat squished, individuals.
Future surgical technique should be refined based upon these experiences. We expect significant improvement in outcome with repeated attempts. Clearly, more data is required regarding base-line Peep vital signs and intraoperative monitoring. Established protocols for Code Purple resuscitation should be reviewed.

Right. They were Gentile lands. And Jesus told them not to go into them. So you're stuck.
Unless you realize that Jesus sent all of the apostles out into the entire world. Not just Paul. All of the Apostles got a new mission after the Resurrection.
You can't be this dense, can you?
Scripture and history are in sync on where the tribes went. That would put the duties of ALL the apostles save for Paul primarily OUTSIDE the empire of Rome. Not just Peter - all of them.
Why is it that you accept the "history" of the lost tries on some wacky website, but reject actual historians who place Peter in Rome? You are simply not credible.
