The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.
Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |

Who are You, Havoc? Why, I'm the one and only Havoc, good C'dawg. Thusly and properly named because if you want to throw the cat in amongst the pigeons and get at the truth, I'm the guy for it. Why did you respond to a ventana post to ask me that? LOL.

I can think of no greater victory for Satan than when he got the NCs to believe that Jesus did not mean this clear and simple truth, even though it is probably the most often repeated, painstakingly explained and plain spoken thing He is recorded as saying. How vague is this? "THIS IS MY BODY" Of course, underlying this is your assumption that the Catholic church's interpretation of these words is correct.

There is no mediator between man and God but Christ Jesus. You'll note that this verse doesn't say "no mediatrix". ;o)

Just curious, how does your congregation observe or celebrate the resurrection? Do they incorporate it into Passover?

Scripture read through the spectacles of your theology. You mean as opposed to the truth of things. I mean god forbid that one should go down to the local cemetary, dig these people up and take them to mcdonalds. Seems nothing gets past you - they must have all lain down and went to stiffness and rott to play an absurd joke on you and your religion. I should imagine they'll all think it an immense practical joke that they've all wasted centuries in the ground pretending to be dead when all the time they were actually alive and unaware of it. I suppose it was an act of treason to note the passing of John F Kennedy. Which would go a long way to explaining why they laid a slab over his grave - must have been to keep his body from muscling the 6 feet of dirt above him from it's spot so he could go back to work being a popular president and playboy. I'm sure you'll be telling us next that you've seen Elvis.

If you knew quat about Catholics of the early 5th ventury time, you would know they were iconaclasts who dispoiled her shrines. Ah, the terminology. Dispoiled must be a coy term for 'those pagan gits didn't realize that we catholics could be better served by their gods so we looted their shrines, renamed them and began praying to them ourselves. And when we forced them to convert at swordpoint later, they were happy to see their gods in our meeting places and helped us with the rites.' Amazing what one can get from a simple term employed by you.

I don't see that by "second death" is meant more than eternal punishment.Lol. And I don't know much? Thank you for your expert analysis on those 2 scriptures. I knew you would cower and run.
To: RobbyS; OLD REGGIE
You are not going to get thrown out for asking questions. As for I.I. he overstates his Catholic credentials. That's not what Reggie says :')
