Nope...about the only one's I've heard talked about is a Professor Herman Hoeh (Hay?), and someone whose name I forget. But he was a lawyer I guess and pretty close to Armstrong. He just recently died.
By the way, we had a sermon the other day and the focus of it was on servant led leadership. One of the things I found interesting was that Worldwide did have a definite "hierarchy"...in other words if you were a minister you were considered more special than a layperson, if you went to Ambassador College you were more special than someone who didn't. If you worked in Pasedena you were more special...etc. etc.
Anyways, the point is I can see how you got turned off. I would probably feel the same way if I went through a system like that.

I understand how she feels. My house isn't as big as yours but we don't need this much space now that the kids have left. My husband wants to sell. It costs us 2400 a year in taxes and it keeps rising. My husband built it for me 5 years ago and it's the first house we ever owned . He said if I wanted we could just rent it out but the upkeep probably wouldn't be worth it.
Maybe I should request a name change ala Angelo...my new name can be "ImRight2" :-)
The name was Stanley Raider, who most thought was evil, but somehow wormed his way in next to HWA, and had his complete trust.
I remember he brought a lawsuit against the producers of the movie, "Raiders of the Lost Ark", which he claimed was his college thesis, and they had stolen the ideas from him.

Jokingly they published a picture of the perfect Ambassador College graduate in one of their magazines once, showing how the perfect graduate/minister dressed, from his wing tips to the color of his suit and the width of his tie.
When some members visited the home of a minister, they made it a point to use their bathroom so they could take notes of what products they had in their medicine cabinet.
If some reported that Mr. so and so had Vicks in his cabinet, then everyone went out and bought Vicks, knowing it was WWCG approved.
The Church furnished lease cars for the ministers of a certain rank. Chrysler gave them a good deal on their products.
Soon everyone who didn't have a loyalty to another make of car, was driving Plymouths and Chryslers, since they reasoned that they must be the best or else God wouldn't have led the Church to the lease agreement with Chrysler.
We were told HWA was God's authority here on earth, and when he made a decision, it was the same as if Christ had made it, and he didn't even have a special chair. Lol
Jim Jones woke a lot of us up, because at one point if we had been told to sell out and get a one way ticket to Petra in stead of Jonestown. I shutter to think how many would have done so, and if Christ hadn't returned in 3 1/2 years, who knows what might have happened.
I just have a hard time accepting the idea that something good could ever come from that organization, but I believe you're an exception.

That's right. The worst thing I ever heard anyone in my congregation say about someone was said about him. One of the guys said once, "I'm sorry, but I didn't like the man very much.". Considering that hardly anybody talks bad about anyone, that was quite a slam to Mr. Raider. :-)

I really think that the people in United did it right. They kept the good sound doctrine and threw out all the rest of the extra crud you describe. Early in United's history when David Blume tried to make it a one man show again, he was booted out of the organization. It's frustrating to me that people attempt to paint the two organizations as the same thing since I know what people who attend United and used to attend Worldwide feel about it.
Hah! You don't know how lucky you are. Wisconsin is one of the highest taxed states in the country. Of course, paying for all the snow plows, road salt, rebuilding the roads when they deteriorate from the frost heave and road salt etc. takes a lot of money. Living in the city, my property tax bill for last year was $5,000. And we don't live in an extravagant home. If you live in a rural area, tax rates are somewhat less.
