I don't claim to be an expert on the bible but if I remember correctly there was this "tree of knowledge" whose fruits were not intended for human consumption.

16. And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;
17. but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
(I always find it interesting that Adam COULD have eaten from the Tree of Life, but didn't.)

I always find it interesting that people could actually believe there was a tree of life, or that a book could accurately tell you what the very first humans on earth did and talked about.

LOL. Maybe it's because Eve encountered the talking snake in the "tree of knowledge of good and evil" first and not the singing opossum in the "tree of eternal life" ;->
