and for boasting, “We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.” But they neither killed nor crucified him—it was only made to appear so.1 Even those who argue for this ˹crucifixion˺ are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever—only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him.

This is KEY for any Christian talking to a Mohammedan - especially when they say 1. "we respect Jesus more than Christians" 2. "we have Jesus as a prophet"

in short -- their "Jesus" is Isa and has little to nothing in common with the Jesus of the Bible

This ties to a Hadith (supposed sayings of mo, but collected 200+ years after his alleged lifetime) where they say that Simeon of Cyrene was "substituted" on the cross while Isa 'laughed'

another hadith says Ibn Abbas narrated that Isa was in a house with twelve of his disciples. Knowing the house was surrounded, Isa asked, "Who among you will have my likeness cast upon him, be killed in my place, and be my companion in paradise?" The youngest volunteering man accepted the task, his appearance was changed to look exactly like Isa, and he was arrested and crucified. Meanwhile, Jesus ascended to heaven through an opening in the roof

note that the Q always calls mary as Maryam, "Mother of Jesus" and refuses to call her mother of God

Jesus said this and seems to point out two things.
That it’s each one of Us individually must develop the True Identity and Purpose of Jesus Christs’ Incarnation.
Striving to understand Who We are in this world in relationship to A Holy God and our Fellow Pilgrims.
