End Of The American Dream ^ | July 18 2024 | Michael Snyder

Is this yet another sign that we are entering a time of increased geological instability for the state of California?

For years, I have warned that it is just a matter of time before “the Big One” arrives, and the clock is ticking.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of fish have been dying and washing up on shore in northern California…

They probably would be better off and do like the Japanese do. Larger individual, swappable/refillable propane or natural gas tanks.

I’ve got it narrowed down to between now, and 50 million years from now.

The “the Big One” is a total myth, just as dumb as the idea that yellowstone can blow up in one giant explosion, both of them are fake science

You are mistaken. How do you think the mountains in California formed? And as for Yellowstone, there is a reason for the geysers.

Mountains were not formed in one giant earthquake

and yellowstone is unable to blow up in one blast because of the way it is shaped

That much movement?

Which direction? Downhill? Sideways? Which fault zone? EXACTLY what slope and elevation and soil conditions?

No - Too little real info and waaay too much hype.

Rancho Pala Verdes is above the pacific. After two years of heavy winter rain fall, ya it’s going to start to slide into the ocean below.. geology works that way

I grew up out in the country and that is what we had to use
for fuel to heat-cook-hot water, etc.

A little bit at a time, and sometimes, suddenly.
We studied Palos Verde peninsula as Cal State Fullerton geology students way back in 1968.
My professor just sorta laughed at the home building going on then. Several landslides were properly attributed to watering the landscapes. But the bigger ones were just the natural result of nature moving around. I think he nailed it best when he simply asked, “And why do you think there are cliffs here in the first place?”

Except Yellowstone has blown up in the past, and it’s long overdue for another catastrophic explosion.

Some people’s idea of science is that if it hasn’t happened to them, in their basement, it must not be real. LOL

Volcanoes and Tectonic Plates are very evident. The actions are evident. Suggesting they are not indicates someone who is not a serious person. There are plenty of them around.
