Stop deluding yourself. I have no interest in what the Republican Party has allegedly “stood for.” Go back and look at the history of federal spending and spiraling debt under Democrat and Republican administrations over the last 50+ years, and you’ll see that the GOP has defined itself as a party of bloated budgets and unlimited growth of government. And you can add endless military campaigns all over the globe as its defining characteristic in my adult lifetime.
A completely fabricated fib. And I’m being generous. Most importantly, completely removing the principle of debt reduction from the party platform means there’s no chance it ever even needs to be considered again. Something you are strangely in favor of, and vigorously defending. Hmmm.
