Bullcrap
Guess they can keep who they have now then?
Support them or not. But every vote against the GOPe supports the democrats.
This is why I am not a “one issue” voter.
Life is not perfect and trying to find perfection just makes life that much harder.
Caving on abortion?! What kind of moron doesn’t recognize the biggest pro life gains since roe v w were under TRUMP? Stupid
I am seriously wavering. There aren’t any better options right now, but then again, there’s getting to be less and less difference between the worst of the worst.
Completely removing the national debt from the new platform, which is in my opinion the biggest threat facing the US, is completely inexplicable, and inexcusable as well.
Where else are we gonna go?
The clear majority of American voters want this flexibility.
We can remain piously prim, and continue to lose elections,
or we can acknowledge some of our younger republicans are also in support of some leniency due to the circumstance.
The author seems delusional to me. Christianity made absolutely no progress as a political force under the Republican Party. Dropping these hot-button issues from its national platform was the most honest thing the GOP has done in years — because it never gave a damn about these issues anyway except as fundraising tools.
Newsflash: abortion is no longer a national issue anyway.
Anyone trying to stir up pro-lifers (myself included) to speak up on this nationally is someone who's trying to stir up the pro-baby-butchers to come out in force during a presidential election year (to vote Dim).
Anything not in the constitution is a state issue.
Christians can ‘support’ the lesser evil when it is discernible in the Spirit.
Either Christians get CONTROL over their leaders, or in a few years, their leaders be on record supporting post-birth abortions, as in infanticide.
By adopting Donald Trump’s stance of “leaving abortion to the states”—aka, unborn children don’t deserve equal protection under the law—the RNC has essentially abdicated its moral responsibility. …Twisting of the truth. Equating the Constitutional upholding of states’ rights with abandonment of equal protection of the laws (not “under the law”; the Constitution does not say that) is a flat-out lie in and of itself. The federal government was never supposed to legislate criminal law for the states; its scope was to handle interstate crime and defense of all states from outside threats.
Hopefully the demo party dies in the next few cycles and a party of Christian moral character comes into the fray.
The GOP can become the Left and there will be a Right party also.
I can dream if I want to.
if you are a purist
i would suggest the libertarian party
they are very influential
Christians shouldn’t be mixing politics with religion... They’re not the same thing and they should be dealt with separately.
Morality and politics have nothing to do with each other.
Politics is the most amoral/immoral human endeavor there is.
To quote the old aphorism: “The perfect should never become the enemy of the good.”
We will never have perfection in this world. If you reject those who are doing their best to save babies’ lives because they do not meet your own unattainable standards, you will soon lose those same allies and even more babies will die. To me, that is the heart of the matter.
If they don’t support the GOP, they are supporting the Dmes, whether they vote Dem, Don’t vote, or vote 3rd party.
Sure, stay home and we have the corpse again. One issue voters are not good for the country. The substantial issues now are border, economy and law and order.
