“I know that’s been going on for a while but it’s at a new level where they simply don’t care. They at least used to pretend to care.”

Those of us who claimed the Uniparty were the enemy used to be called “crazy conspiracy theorists”.

I don’t think the Constitution gives the Federal government the authority to ban abortion, or to forbid the states from banning abortion

Especially after JDRockefeller III told them in 1970...

After two years of concentrated effort, we have concluded that, in the long run, no substantial benefits will result from further growth of the Nation’s population, rather that the gradual stabilization of our population through voluntary means would contribute significantly to the Nation’s ability to solve its problems. We have looked for, and have not found, any convincing economic argument for continued population growth. The health of our country does not depend on it, nor does the vitality of business nor the welfare of the average person.

https://www.population-security.org/rockefeller/001_population_growth_and_the_american_future.htm

If you decide to visit that population-security site make sure you at least scan Chapter 11 where you can learn where the source of human reproductive 'issues' flow from. Issues like:

The elimination of legal restrictions on access to contraceptive information and services, and the development by the states of affirmative legislation to permit minors to receive such information and services.

The elimination of administrative restrictions on access to voluntary contraceptive sterilization.

The liberalization of state abortion laws along the lines of the New York State statute.

Greater investments in research and development of improved methods of contraception.

Full support of all health services related to fertility, programs to improve training for and delivery of these services, an extension of government family planning project grant programs, and the development of a program of family planning education.

The complete message to congress and President Nixon and President Nixon's reply can be read at https://www.bucksafa11.org/2022/03/02/smell-the-sulfur/

It’s at the state level now. Even the demolitioncrats fail to understand this.

Science says a human life begins at conception. Unfortunately, America is not ready for that yet.

Only 30-40% of Christians vote anyway.

It's all about Trump now. It is why the Russian propaganda on this site is so effective. All you have to do to get the majority of FR to agree with you is to somehow link it to Trump's political fortunes, and then these "conservatives" will convince themselves that it is the best thing since the constitution.

Look at how many people here say they aren't conservative, they say they are "populists". The ironic thing is that Trump will end up moving "the Right" further to the left in the long run, despite all the good he has done. He does what he does because he likes winning and is smart enough to dance with the one that brought him.

Deep State is ginning up another game of lets-you-and-him-fight.

Refuse to play.

Restoration of the republic is the ONLY issue.

Until our republic is restored, the rest doesn’t matter.

They are eliminating it as a national issue, which it has been for decades with more and more movement to the left.
The Supreme Court ruling on Roe sends it back to the states.

Would you prefer Lindsay Graham comes out again like he did in the 2022 mid terms and announce he is putting forward a national abortion ban ?

Trump took the argument off the table for the election

The ironic thing is that Trump will end up moving "the Right" further to the left in the long run, despite all the good he has done.

Trump only exists as a political force in this country because “the Right” has been completely full of sh!t — and already far to the left — for more than 20 years.

In the space of just a few years, the Bush and Cheney family names have become poison on the political scene. That never would have happened without Trump.

I can’t speak for Trump’s support among Evangelicals. Any links you can provide along those lines would be helpful.

After the disaster of the GWB administration, I would tread carefully around presidential candidates with strong evangelical support in the primary process.

Bush’s name became poison when the financial crisis hit and everyone here tried to distance themselves from their prior enthusiastic support. In America, money is god and whoever brings the money gets the support.

I agree with you.

The Supreme Court has gotten rid of Roe. The easiest way to drum up support for Roe vs Wade is to try putting this back in the hands of the Federal Government.

And now, is not the time to do that. Hand this place once again over to globalists and RATs is going to beget even worse than Roe.

I can’t imagine why anyone would be as stupid as that right now.

Here goes the #1 butthurt Ron DeSantis disciple and his delusional virtue signaling thinking.

Get over it. DeSantis won’t be President.

Seems like you need to spend more of your life trying to stop the RATS. You picked wrong and failed. DeSantis was a dud.

You still can’t get over it. Start your own party.

The Supreme Court ruled on this, so yes, I can support the Republicans.

Newsflash: abortion is no longer a national issue anyway.

The abortion issue is settled. It belongs to the states. So basically, we'll have to tell Lindsey Graham and the pro-life lobby to shut up if they want to make this a federal issue. That's wrong. And that's not what we are about in the first place anyway.

If you are bringing it up, I assume you're a Democrat plant trying to mobilize the suburban woman vote on the abortion issue alone.

Actual conservatives have never been strong in the GOP

all the social lib largesse of the 60s and early to mid 70s was opposed by some GOP and white southern Dixiecrats

And it often wasn’t enough as is plain to see

Many folks are simply ignorant

Many republicans hated Reagan just like the did Goldwater and do Trump

This notion GOP all good since Abe and subsequent reconstruction and all Dems bad is Beck levin poppycock

Wonder if they notice how all that worked out

The Republican Party has become a lost cause, and it is time we faced that reality.

Yeah, let's go fishing on November 5 and not vote at all. That'll show 'em!
