I don’t think the Constitution gives the Federal government the authority to ban abortion, or to forbid the states from banning abortion.

Completely removing the national debt from the new platform, which is in my opinion the biggest threat facing the US, is completely inexplicable, and inexcusable as well.

_________________________________________________

It’s not the biggest threat. Inflation from abusing the spending/currency-creating process is a potential threat, but debt (even a substantial amount of debt) is not in and of itself a threat. A far bigger issue than debt is: “Who is being bought off/subsidized by debt-spending?” Since the answer to that is “Primarily Democrat voters.”, what should be halted are hand-outs that empower Left-wing institutions/groups.

No, we should just let the Democrats remain in power.

BS

Leaving issues like this to each state is exactly how a federal system is supposed to work.

The Constitution does not give the federal government the authority to address these issues, one way or the other.

Conservatives need to learn to play the long game. Trump will be battered by the abortion issue as were some GOP candidates in the mid terms. By taking the issue off the board it becomes harder to attack the GOP on abortion. You need to get conservatives elected and I can say anecdotally from my own experience, many younger woman take a pass on GOP candidates over one issue, abortion. It is holding conservatives back from building majorities in the House and Senate. Get conservatives elected and then kill abortion through death by a thousand cuts. It is the only way.

SCOTUS made abortion a State issue and removed it from the Federal government. For now. Anti-abortion activists need to start thinking strategically with their heads and not their hearts. There is no real desire in the Federal government to vote on a Nationwide abortion ban. It is not happening so get over it. It is time to aim small hit small. Aim big, you miss big and that is what has been happening the last few election cycles. State by state work on getting people in to block abortion. Right now a lot is playing out in the courts, we will eventually find the right legal balance to at least restrict abortions if not outright ban abortions in a State. But it will only happen state by state. That makes the issue a self-inflicted wound in Federal elections.

Play the long game, conservative Governors, State legislators and especially AGs. Get a GOP House, Senate and White House to reign in the DOJ and enforce bans on Federally funded abortions. No federal dollars for abortions and States cannot use Federal funds to directly or indirectly fund abortions. Right now you need Trump to get that done and he can only do it if elected.

If the Republican Party actually stood for the things you claim it did, Donald Trump never would have won a single state primary

More nonsense from you. We are often told/reminded Trump won his election by getting a bunch of former democrats, especially union members in the midwest, to vote for him. They were not Republicans then, and would have been RINO’s at best. Since then, Trump has hijacked the party, and claimed he’s quote “not a conservative but a common sense guy” as if conservatives don’t have common sense to go ALONG with our principles. He’s moving the party FAR to the left of where it was, abandoning conservatives for union thugs and big city women who have no principles.

“we can acknowledge some of our younger republicans are also in support of some leniency due to the circumstance.”

Those who rely on God to show some leniency after murdering their child are in for a surprise.

It’s all one in the same, you should know that. Sounds like you’re making excuses for the principle of limited government spending and debt to be permanently removed from the national discussion, which is an absolute death warrant for the country.

posting all this stuff is really divisive in the sense that NONE OF IT MATTERS IF WE DON’T WIN. Further, abortion is no longer a federal issue so should not be on the platform.

When you meet a perfect Christian, post about it.

I’m not talking about Trump winning the presidential election in 2016. I’m talking about him winning the Republican nominationover a field of competitors who were almost all establishment GOP hacks.

And it happened again in 2024, didn’t it?

The abortion debate in America has been a defining issue for decades, drawing a clearly defined line between those who value life and those who, quite frankly, promote death.

Every election cycle the MSM always brings up this issue in an attempt to divide the party.

Why is it never an issue within the Democrat party since it's unlikely that every single Democrat supports abortions.

Trump’s nationwide popularity (~40) has stayed steady since 2106. The people identifying as MAGA has changed, however. HIs ‘tent’ consists of even more former Democrats, especially blacks, than ever before. Meanwhile, his Evangelical support has dropped. This is all common knowledge. Call it another”great replacement theory” because that is exactly what is going on.

How about this:

There is nothing more heinous than the pre meditated murder of your own innocent child.

Those who condone such an abomination act cannot be trusted with anything else. Be it a politician, a judge, or a medical person.

Thanks, but this debate is not solely about abortion. If it was, the removal of that one issue could possibly be rationalized, somewhat, one its own, independently.

But when they are also removing other long time traditional core conservative values, such as marriage being only between a man and a woman, and removing any concerns over our outrageous government spending and debt, this party has little it actually even stands for anymore. At least not much that I can trust.

What I mean is it is the uniparty. The illusion of choice…they were elected to represent us but they hate us. I know that’s been going on for a while but it’s at a new level where they simply don’t care. They at least used to pretend to care.

Anyone trying to stir up pro-lifers (myself included) to speak up on this nationally is someone who's trying to stir up the pro-baby-butchers to come out in force during a presidential election year (to vote Dim).

Which is exactly what those treacherous snakes Mitch McConnell and Lyndsey Graham did in the last election cycle when they teased a national abortion ban and the Dims went ballistic.
