Let me be clear: we should ALWAYS be on watch.
But the reason why the Church can - and should - take a breath, is because every Harold Camping has said the same thing ever since the Ascension. And yet, here we are, still in this valley of tears.

At the same time, Kingman had 1,816 strikeouts-the fourth-highest total in MLB history at the time of his retirement. As a result of the increase in frequency of strikeouts in the intervening period, he ranked 23rd as of May 2024
It is an almost certainty that everyone on the planet today will die before the Return. They would do well to prepare their soul for that 100% guaranteed Event, rather than swing for the fences and strike out repeatedly.
Which is EXACTLY what Jesus told us to do.
