Re the Bereans and Scripture. The passage is clear it was only the Scriptures they examined. If tradition had been one of the things they consulted it would have been included. However, Luke, who was detailed in his writings, under the guidance of the Spirit didn’t include tradition.
That should be sufficient to show it was only the scriptures they searched.
