In Exodus 12.2, the Lord tells Moses and Aaron that “this month” (meaning the month of the Passover) is to be the first month. So why do Jews now use the Babylonian calendar when the new year begins in the fall?
But so I dare share those suspicions. Oh heck, why not.
Being scattered to the winds and losing their homeland, necessitated them to adapt to survive, which provided them with strength & conviction.
I'm pretty sure I have offended some out there with my suspicions. But with the Lord's help I will come out just fine in the end, and that is all I really care about. 🙂👍
But it must also be recognized that many still held on to their original teachings as well. As evidenced by the introduction of the Hebrew calendar of old in this thread.
