Most of the letters to the churches were written by the Apostles or people anointed by them.

What churches??anointed?? None of the writings were acknowledge by anyone except by emperor Constantine until
300 AD and no they were not written by the apostles. Read what the bible says. The book according to John or who ever. According to, that mean he did not write it. It is a retold story.

That is just flat out wrong. Paul wrote from 50-60AD. There were Churches all over Asia Minor before 100 AD. Constantine himself did nothing, the Canon was all but established by 300AD. The main debate was over books like Revelation, James and 3rd John. The council of Nicea was about settling the argument over the nature of Christ. ie the hypostatic union.

Read what the bible says.

Why? In post 36, you told us "Most of the bible is nothing more than a story book. I am not saying it is true or not true, but it is nothing more than a story book." Seems you want it both ways. Authoritative when you think it helps your argument and not authoritative otherwise.

According to, that mean he did not write it. It is a retold story.

"According to" refers to the source of the information. It could include retold stories from eye witnesses or direct testimony from an eye witness. You're twisting the phrase to question the credibility of the writings. Faithful retelling of the stories from first-hand sources, direct testimony, and faithful transcription would result in reliable evidence. A retold story does not necessarily mean that it is corrupted. An account of the event can be accurately conveyed in its retelling.

That is historically very veryu incorrect

1. Constantine became a Christian on his deathbed and in fact became an Arian Christian i.e. one who believed that Jesus was a "lesser god", rejecting the Trinity

2. The bulk of the New Testament writings (not all) were commonly accepted as part of the wealth of scripture from the time of Justin Marty (110 AD) at least -- this included the 4 gospels, most of the pastoral letters and nearly all of the letters of Paul with the exception of Hebrews. In addition the Apocalypse was disputed until the 4th century, but was acknowledged by many in the west.

Canon was closed but not by Constantine.
