Religious freedom is enshrined in Israel’s basic law. Muslims, Christians and others are free to practice their religion, have religious institutions and even K-12 schools run by those religious institutions.
What the basic law does protect, with regard to Jewish persons, is they can make Israel their home if they choose, because Israel is historically, and now again, the homeland of the Jews.
