I posted this on Twitter. It is driving the atheists crazy
The whole point? Hardly.
Show me yours. Apart from my personal experience I can point to thosands of personal experiences on the net. What can you show?
Your faulty logic.
Two points in his post.
1. No power in atheism
2. Power in Christ.
You agree with the first.
Empirical evidence is faulty logic? You go with that.
Please push this. Make it viral. It deserves to be heard.
Isaiah writes of Him as not crying out in the streets. You never hear Him say how He deserves to be heard.
Atheists have made their own bed. Jesus has made His. You know which matters most, which is good. You know that Christ Jesus changes lives, and like creation itself, only He can do that.
At the same time His way of reaching atheists might be more subtle that what you are trying to do.
Moreover, what does he say to St. Paul when St. Paul was at his wits end over satan’s buffeting? “My power is made perfect in weakness.”
I guess you’ve never heard of the great commission.
“ Well no one has ever claimed atheism has some sort of power.”
You agree with him atheism has no power.
So you’re on the same page with that.
I find your assertion about atheists and atheism interesting in that I think most atheists think there is power in being unencumbered by superstitious or irrational thought, as they see it.
Empirical evidence can certainly lead to faulty reasoning. No doubt about that.
I could do an internet search with xxxxx changed my life and insert scores of religions or philosophies and get thousands of results.
Truth always has power.
Since you claim that atheism has no power.....
That was addressed to His apostles, and they are still fulfilling that command, but they are not out there saying how they deserve to be heard. That is not what they, were given to teach.
That applies to all of us.
Looks like your post is having the same reaction here. There are a lot of atheists on FR. Blessings!!
Chuckle. The angry atheist here don’t like it either.
The word “save” in the first sentence should be “saved.”
There are a lot of atheists everywhere. Say your piece and shake the dust.
Reminds me of a Dan Brown movie, where the agnostic professor says something to a church bigwig about “your church” to which the prelate replies, “My Church? My church teaches me to comfort the sick and dying, clothe the poor and feed the hungry. What does your church teach? oh, that’s right, you don’t have one.”
Hope you not referring to me.
Sure I believe Faith in Christ can do wonderous things.
But I am not going to believe that all FORMER addicts, etc became such because of a Faith in Christ.
Don't mind the "intelligence community." Bless their hearts.
“ Hope you not referring to me.”
I was, based on your post 5.
“ Atheism has never claimed to have any “power” to do anything, so the question is not applicable.”
Thanks for your response and setting the record straight.
As for your comment see my 48: “I think most atheists think there is power in being unencumbered by superstitious or irrational thought, as they see it.”
Re: “ But I am not going to believe that all FORMER addicts, etc became such because of a Faith in Christ.”
Can you show where to original post claimed that?
