Hmmm...sorta like blessing the thief, adulterer, drunkard and affirming his/her ‘lifestyle’.

Wow. Christianity has certainly evolved/s.

Unacceptable. Priests enter holy orders voluntarily. When they do, they choose to uphold and follow our Creator’s law over their own personal desires or proclivities.

If a priest wishes to do otherwise, he is always free to resign from the priesthood and seek dispensation from his clerical obligations.

Martin is clearly an active homosexual himself

He’s a disgusting hypocrite to his vows

As far as I can tell through all the verbiage, homosexual couples can be blessed in the informal way priests do *just as other pairs or groups of Catholics can be.* If my friend and I are going on a trip, we might ask for a blessing. The priest blesses everyone at Mass at the end: if there are homosexual or other improper couples attending (and hopefully not receiving the Eucharist), they are blessed then.

The main problem is that we are careless in our speech, and we say that a marriage contracted outside the Church is “blessed” when it is recognized within the Church. The correct word is convalidated.

The Pope was as hair-splittingly ambiguous as possible in that document and the whole thing was *completely unnecessary,* serving only to increase confusion.
