Do you claim the right to tell us that our understanding of the Scriptures is "ERROR" should it differ from yours?
>>Yes. And not only the right, but the duty to do so.

OK ... then, either:

1) I have the right and duty to tell YOU that YOUR understanding of the Scriptures is "ERROR", should it differ from mine ... which leaves us pointing at each with irresolvable accusations of "ERROR".

or

2) Neither of us has either that right or that duty, since the reading and understanding of the Scriptures is a private thing not subject to any third-party human authority. In that case, we should simply state our beliefs and leave it at that ... attempting to definitively call something "ERROR" is beyond our competence.

HMMMmmm...

2 Timothy 3:16-17
 16.  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
 17.  so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

I do not *interpret* Scripture because I am not trying to change the meaning of what is said.

The only reason to *interpret* Scripture is to make it mean something other than what is said.

I read it, take it at face value and believe it and obey it.

Understanding Scripture is beyond any human’s paygrade, but the Holy Spirit is the one who teaches us. No Immoral, corrupted religious institution has that *right* or *authority* to do so either.

So you still haven’t answered my previous questions. Why not?

1 Corinthians 2:12-14 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Born again believers have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit to guide them and enlighten them.

Those who are not born again, do not have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit and have no more ability to discern truth than a blind person can see light. They are dead spiritually and CANNOT understand the things of God because they are separated from Him.

You should ask Metmom why she keeps Sunday, when the bible clearly teaches/commands keeping the 7th-day-Sabbath, like Christ and all of the Apostles did. She hates getting that question (judging by how she avoids answering it). She says Sola Scriptura, yet keeps Sunday. Go figure.
