Excellent pictures, Dan.
I like the pictures with the 🌈 and the 🕊
Many years ago, when our family was in the midst of a great trial, the Lord sent rainbows to remind me of His Promises. Then he sent a white dove that flew around our property all summer.
Come fall I noticed the dove had lighted on the roof of our garage. It had a low overhang, so I got a small step ladder to get a closer look at it.
Lo and behold, the dove had a rainbow neck! I rain into the house to get something for it to eat, but it flew away when I tried to feed it.
Great paintings, illustrations and stained glass window. I like #16 by Sarrabat and #39 by West.
#28 is not by Medhurst who was born in 1948. He had acquired Bible prints, now called The Phillip Medhurst Collection, which are housed at Belgrave Hall Leicester, UK.
You are wise to recognize God's encouragements!
Usually I leave Medhurst’s name off. Just thought I’d include it for once—that will learn me! LOL
Ahh ... always good to see the rainbow properly used as a symbol of God’s love and mercy to His faithful.
Also nice to see artists get physics right. The double rainbow in #31 and #32 is shown correctly with the outer bow dimmer than the inner bow. Well done!
The symbol of the Noahic Covenant.
nice to see artists get physics right
Today's artists, with internet access, have it easy compared with artists of yore.
Beautiful. Just beautiful.
You appreciate beauty.
RE: Victuals
The thought that crossed my mind when the white “rainbow” dove flew off was ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4)
God’s Promises saw me through.
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!
I just have to comment on He Qi (#11)…is he going to get a copyright letter from a lawyer for The Titanic movie?
🥁💥🌈
I really, really like his painting and the marvelous colors…but I couldn’t resist (I didn’t get the time to comment on the Salvador Dali painting of the crucifixion this weekend- another favorite of mine - so I felt I needed to make up for it here).
LOL--I thought of that, too. It's a rather exact correspondence.
I am a huge He Qi fan--I include his stuff whenever I can. I used that one in the Women in the Bible series, and here again; I've probably had it three or four times now.
For those who do not care for his work, it is probably jarring when they encounter it here. No apologies, though. I'll just keep posting him until they learn to like it!
I think he’s outstanding.

“Surprising Salvation” series?
I am a surprising salvation! Praise be to God!
My working hypothesis is that everyone whom God regenerated was surprised by it. I certainly was! So here are folks from Scripture who were, too.
