The Roman Church from which you have evolved.

And you do not see from whence the LDS religion 'evolved'?

You either know how to recognize a prophet through the whisperings of the Holy Spirit or you don’t.

You can't shake hands with the Holy Spirit.

He(?) it(?) hasn't been worthy enough to get a fleshy body like GOD the Father has.

So you question my belief in the words of Jesus based on your protestant erroneous belief in ‘once saved, always saved’?

“But God said, “Fool! This night you soul is required of you. So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” Luke 12:20

A harsh rebuke for someone unconcerned with God or his teachings.

Sins against the Holy Spirit are mortal sins that harden a soul by its rejection of the Holy Spirit. Six sins are in this category. They are despair, presumption, envy, obstinacy in sin, final impenitence, and deliberate resistance to the known truth.

May God guide you to His Truth.

No, based on the simple observation that you listed a whole bunch of religious busywork that can never save.

Are you saved??

If so clear it up right now and declare if you are.

If not, why not listen to Christ and the Apostles and accept His Gospel of Grace?

I do follow the teachings of Jesus and His Church to the best of my ability, and not the false teachings of heresy by protestants.

Do you truly follow the teachings of Jesus or just the teachings of men?

Only the teachings of Christ and His Apostles. No man made or pagan religious stuff.

You didn’t answer.

Are you saved?? Now??

If not why?

Asked and answered many times.

Scripture is crystal-clear on this point: Once saved does not mean always saved.

In Matthew 6:15, Jesus tells us that “if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” It does not matter how “born again” one may be or how many experiences one has had, if he does not forgive others, he will not be forgiven, according to the text.

And remember—as we have seen—no sin can enter into heaven (cf. Hb 1:13, Rv 21:27). Further, the Bible says we can “fall from grace” (Gal 5:1-5, Heb 12:14-16), be “cut off” from the vine from which we receive divine life (Jn 15:1-6, Rom 11:18-22), have our names removed from the Lamb’s book of life (Rv 22:19), and it assures us over and over again that if we commit certain sins and we do not repent of them, we will not go to heaven (cf. 1 Cor 6:9-11, Gal 5:19, Eph 5:3-5, Rv 21:6-8).

If one follows some of the protestant beliefs, such as ‘once saved, always saved’, then they are not following the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles.

I did not ask if you believed you are eternally secure.

I asked if you know you are saved now.

I’m guessing despite all you’ve been taught by Rome, you have no idea of the basis of salvation and can only hope you have “been good enough.”

Which never leads to salvation.

Why don’t you know now that you are saved???

Do you not want to know now?

Catholics understand that they will know when we die as Jesus judges us. That is why we pray for the deceased (as they can no longer pray for themselves) so that they will be cleansed of their sins for entry into Heaven.

Yes, we have hope for our salvation as a work in process and I believe that I am in the state of grace.

I attend Mass on a regular basis, continue to receive the sacraments and have faith in the Truth of Jesus as a member of the Body of Christ in His Catholic Church.

It is not about being good enough. It is about loving God and our neighbor, and when we sin going to the Sacraments to receive forgiveness as we confess our sins and do penance for them. There are things we should do for God not to earn our salvation, but love Him and accept His love for us.

I didn’t realize that the protestant position on once saved had changed. That is positive.

Jesus has Great Mercy for souls, and I hope everyone will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet given to St Faustina.

For Catholics, we believe that one can go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) before they die. Napoleon even though he said he would destroy the Catholic Church, before he died he returned to the Catholic faith. As did Babe Ruth.

On danger of death, protestants can receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Eucharist from a Catholic priest.

Anyone who is depending on their works will never know if they are saved until later.

If you're depending on the finished work of Christ on the cross, then you can know because His work it perfect and complete.

Jesus even says this....John 5:24Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

And we know that we can rest secure in that promise because Jesus, who cannot and does not lie, told us and counting on it is not *presumption* but faith.

Why don’t you know now that you are saved??? Do you not want to know now?

If our Heavenly Father didn't want us to KNOW we have eternal life and be assured of our salvation, then why did the Holy Spirit inspire so many places in Scripture that tell us just exactly that? I don't think some people believe what God has said and which He has reiterated over and over again.

But if one is relying upon their own merit and good works to save them, I can see why they would have such insecurity. That's too bad because God desires that we live by faith and that faith includes the blessed assurance that we are His and will never perish or be plucked from His hands. That can only spur us to love Him more and desire to serve and glorify Him out of gratitude - the genuine motivation for good works. Not to BE saved but because we ARE saved.

John 5:24Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life.

Yes, if you hear the word and believe.

And many do not believe and they walked away and followed man’s beliefs.

but, there’s more. You’ve only touched the surface. Why it’s enough to sink the fleet. Rehearse it all for the Judge of the quick and dead. He likes a good laugh.

I’m reminded of the treatment of the Catholics, the Seventh Day folks etc.

USING the OLD and NEW Testaments that were compiled by the Catholic church.

Actually quite nice of you to recognize that point.

Point one, it would be unnecessary as He will stand still and deliver the message even if you attempted to shake hands.

He has a job to do which would apparently be hindered by a physical body. When that will change has not yet been revealed. I suggest using the word worthy in the context of the Holy Spirit could definitely be considered by many to be the height of (fill in your own blank).
