Jesus rose from the dead "on the first day of the week."104 Because it is the "first day," the day of Christ's Resurrection recalls the first creation. Because it is the "eighth day" following the sabbath,105 it symbolizes the new creation ushered in by Christ's Resurrection. For Christians it has become the first of all days, the first of all feasts, the Lord's Day (he kuriake hemera, dies dominica) Sunday:
We all gather on the day of the sun, for it is the first day [after the Jewish sabbath, but also the first day] when God, separating matter from darkness, made the world; and on this same day Jesus Christ our Savior rose from the dead.106

——>Yet SDA’s hold that enjoin pork, rabbit, and shellfish are still unclean.
Correct, because it still is.
Eating unclean meat is an abomination unto the Lord
1 Peter 1:16: “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
Which is a direct link to...
Leviticus 11: 43Do not defile yourselves by any crawling creature; do not become unclean or defiled by them. 44For I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, because I am holy. You must not defile yourselves by any creature that crawls along the ground. 45For I am the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt so that I would be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy.
And here…
Leviticus 18: 29Therefore anyone who commits any of these abominations must be cut off from among his people. 30You must keep My charge not to practice any of the abominable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them. I am the LORD your God.” (sexual practices, etc…)
19: 1Then the LORD said to Moses, 2“Speak to the whole congregation of Israel and tell them: Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.
God’s people do not eat unclean meat, because it is an abomination unto the Lord, and we, as temples of God, are to be HOLY.
If the Lord says it’s an abomination in the Old Testament, and those who do it will pay the ultimate price, then it is in the New Testament as well. Same for homosexuality. It is an abomination.
Just about everything you would want to know on the subject.

“Worship the beast or worship the creator. The Sabbath commemorates Creation.”

Huh? What are you talking about? I said the Sabbath commemorates creation. Dust off your Bible and read it in Genesis. If you created something as perfect as Jesus did, you’d have a weekly commemoration of it too. The Sabbath, made for man. It reminds us each week of his creation. It also had redemptive value in it too.......it’s called REST.
Ironically, it is you who worship the creation. Sunday replacing the holy Sabbath is a human ordained creation.
hahaha....give a person enough rope and this is what you get
You people funny.

Didn’t you see Jim Robinson’s post about personal insults such as this? I think you need to read it.
Just imagine how much they’ll hate us at the end of this world.
>>Just imagine how much they’ll hate us at the end of this world.>>
Like I say, if you think you hate the Sabbath now.....wait till your entire world is collapsing all around and a small remnant ain’t going along with the program. We in big trouble just as we have seen here. And they united on their hate too.
This also directly links to: "Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God. And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you." Leviticus 20:7-8) Which includes the Feast of Weeks and of Booths (Lev. 23:14) and the Levitical priesthood, (Num. 18:23) and Laws for Purification (Num 19:2) and more which were required to be holy, and out of sanctification principle flowed the separation from the unclean Gentiles, but the above have their typological fulfillment under the New Covenant. As do dietary laws.
Which means you must dismiss all such as pertains to diet, including:
► For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. (1 Timothy 4:4-5)
If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. (1 Corinthians 10:27)
► I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. (Romans 14:14)
► Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: (Colossians 2:14-16)
► Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation, (Hebrews 9:10)
► Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? (Acts 15:10)
Leviticus 18: 29
Leviticus 18 is about basic universal moral commands, which are literally applicable to all people in all places, disobedience to which among pagans is why the nations were defiled which God cast out before them, the land being defiled vomiteth out her inhabitants as the Lord therefore punished the iniquity thereof. (Leviticus 18:24-25) But unlike sodomy, nowhere were pagans punished for the manner of food they ate, or for not washing themselves after touching the carcass of Badgers Bears Camels Cats Lions, Tigers, Leopards Coyotes, Foxes, Wolves Donkeys, etc. (Leviticus 11:27) Or to new houses not having a fence around their roof, (Deuteronomy 22:8)
Unless a distinction is made btwn types of laws in the light of New Covenant teaching then to be holy means obedience as under the law, versus fulfilling the righteousness of the la by not walking after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:4)
It is over, as I have much to do, and after multitudes of attempted defenses and refutations, you continue to manifest intractable cultic devotion, thus there is little warrant to taking more time on a dead thread.
As an aside, it seems to me the LOGICAL start of a 'day' would be at dawn; but what do I know?
And it’s getting HOT!!!
Then there is that pesky International Dateline that screws up the timing even more!
Some Prots will tell me I have sinned for finishing my deck today.
Others will get on my case for starting it yesterday!
There’s just NO pleasing people these days!
Nah.
It's just that we happen to AGREE with Rome over a few (ahem) things.
YMMV
You make bible authors cry!
OK; the ball is now in your court.
Lob back to me all the bible verses you can find that mention tradition.
Why would Sam need to go back?
Matthew 18:18
“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be[a] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[b] loosed in heaven.
Just exactly do BIND and LOOSE mean???
