Once again everything true you got from us, the Catholic Church.

What a joke.

Scripture came from the Jews as inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Catholicism had nothing to do with giving the world the Truth, thankfully, because they would have messed that up as well.

The New Testament didn't "come from the Jews".

Catholicism had nothing to do with giving the world the Truth

Okay. Then explain how YOU know that Revelation is canonical NT Scripture and Shepherd of Hermas isn't. By what authority do you know it?

Oh, and BTW, I know someone who disagrees with you:

We are obliged to yield many things to the Papists (Catholics)–that they possess the Word of God which we received from them, otherwise we should have known nothing at all about it.” Martin Luther–Commentary on St. John, ch. 16

Met - Scripture is a compilation of multiple books - and note that that collection didn't "come from the Jews" - the individual books did.

Between the end of the 19th century and first half of the 20th century, there was a broad scholarly consensus that the canon developed in three-stages, the Torah or Pentateuch was closed around 500 BCE, the books of the Prophets (nevi’im) in the third or fourth century, and the Writings (kethuvim) at the council of Javneh in 90 CE.

The Catholic Church i.e. the community of believers including Church fathers etc. are those that agreed on which books would be considered scripture from a Christian point of view.

Catholicism in particular gave the Western Christians a list of books considered scripture.
