Genesis 2:1-3 KJV

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

It is just being treated as a holy day and thus man worships on that day. Simple. Why make a case for or against it. Is the next attack on Christmas day or the day of the death of Christ in April?

    It is not simple.
  1. The Seventh Day is Shabbat, ie., Saturday in English.
  2. No account in the Gospels transfers keeping the Sabbath holy and resting on it from Saturday to Sunday. In fact, the Gospel teaches quite the opposite:

    17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
    18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
    19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
    20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

  3. The transfer occurred, not in Rome alone, but in the whole (catholic) Church throughout Judea, Galilee, and beyond. That is why Protestant faith communities traditionally have their main worship, and rest, on Sunday.
  4. The authority to transfer the Sabbath for Christians from Saturday to Sunday is only legitimate if the Church had the authority to change it; otherwise the Church and Christians in general have been in error for almost two thousand years. If the Church, the body of the Messiah, did not have the authority that the Messiah specifically gave to Peter and his brother apostles to put new wine in new bottles in such a manner, then it has been in darkness and orphaned even until now. From the scriptures we can know that was not the case.

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

and again

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
