They just might need HIM more than the rest of us. Do ya’ think?
Do you think some people had some doubts in 1948 due to the events occurring during 1933-45?
Interesting.
Now, an intriguing new survey released just this week indicates that far more Israeli Jews in 2023 believe in God than did their parents and grandparents. There are very few atheists and agnostics in Israel any more. Respondents were asked the following question: “Which of these statements come closest to your personal view?” Their views show a dramtaic change:Just for the record. This represents a sea change in Israeli Jewish thinking over the past 75 years. - 63.6% of Israeli Jews said, “I believe in God as described in the Jewish tradition.”
- Only 22% said, “I believe there is some other higher power or spiritual force in the universe but I do not believe in God as described in the Jewish tradition.”
- A mere 14.4% said, “I do not believe there is ANY higher power or spiritual force in the universe.
Two American Jewish professors designed the survey. One was Dr. Mordechai Inbari, full professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of North Carolina Pembroke. The other was Dr. Kirill Bumin, the dean of the Graduate Studies and full professor in the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Stonehill College. The scholars contracted with the Geocartography Knowledge Group, one of the leading research and polling companies in Israel, to professionally conduct the survey. …
- 54.5% of Israeli Jews say they believe that heaven and hell are real places.

The Angels fighting alongside them in the wars might have changed some minds.
The percentage of Jews in the United States, who believe in G-d is increasing.
Interesting.....
Its pretty easy to figure out why. Most of the Jews who founded Israel were secular. Religious Jews had much larger families so 3 generations later what was a small minority is now the majority. Demographics is destiny.
Yeah? So? The population of Israel today is about 900% higher that it was in 1948. There probably are more Israelis today who believe the earth is flat than in 1948, too.
I’m eagerly awaiting for Jews to raze the Dome of the Crock and Al Aqsa mosque and build the third temple.
Demographics will win out. Secular, atheist, and reform Jews just don’t have children. Whereas, by a long chalk, Orthodox and Haredi Jews have *lots* of children, their population growth rate being much greater than even Arabs.
So, over time, Israel will become more and more religious, and all that implies.
