That’s wonderful!
My Dad, and all of my uncles that served during WWII all came home safe and sound. One uncle was wounded at Guadalcanal, he showed me his Purple Heart
once. He lived to be 101.

I thoroughly enjoyed visiting back in 1985 but was disappointed there wasn't a molten lead re-enactment performed by an acrobatic demented dwarf.

Seriously though, the shops, bookstalls and artists surrounding the island can take a day all by themselves.
