Whether the Jews like it or not!
We had to live in a car once.
But I can’t paint.....
Good Morning Dan, and joyful Thursday to each of you.
So many wonders of paintings, glass, relief and even bronze. Is that a bell in #40? Can’t choose a favorite.
We as gentiles are so blessed to be ‘grafted in’ His tree.
Thank You Dan!
Look at the previous verses just before Acts 28:28, as well.
It was PROPHESIED.......................
Eh, when you’ve seen one centurion....
Looking at it now, I have NO IDEA why I included that. Thanks for objecting.
We as gentiles are so blessed to be ‘grafted in’ His tree.
We as gentiles are so blessed to be ‘grafted in’ His tree.
We as gentiles are so blessed to be ‘grafted in’ His tree.
Worth repeating.
Was it Down by the river?
No, but it was by The Everglades..................
We may not be grafted, but actually from a different root of the same tree. There is certain sect of Christianity that believes WE, the Gentile Christians, are actually the descendants of the 'Lost Ten Tribes' of Israel, therefore Sons of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...................
Those are the OscarMeyers, aren’t they?: “My baloney has a first name....”
I’ve read some of their arguments and they are quite compelling. Some are a bit of a stretch, but the general overview is fairly comprehensible and logical.
We don’t know what happened to those people after the went into captivity by the Assyrians and were taken into captivity.
But God does.
Also, we don’t know what happened to the descendants of Abraham from his concubines after they were sent away to ‘the East’ with gifts and livestock? Some believe they became the Indian peoples we know today.
But God does.........................
I don’t get it. Are African and Asian Christians supposed to be their physical descendants?
Africans and Asians are descendants of Noah through Ham and Japheth respectively...............
Yes, so how can they be descended from the S[h]emitic 10 Lost Tribes?
They aren’t. They became pagans and only after the advent of Christianity and missionary work by the clergy were they begun to be grafted onto the tree of life. Many still are pagans and atheists.................
We’re cross-communicating.
How can, in your words, “WE, the Gentile Christians, [actually be] the descendants of the ‘Lost Ten Tribes’ of Israel”? Do you mean “physical” descendants?
Yes, physically descendant. Theoretically, the peoples of the Lost Ten Tribes did not die off, they were taken into ‘another country’ which was the custom of the time, just as the Jews were taken into Babylon, many years later.
Eventually, the Assyrian Empire fell to other nations, but unlike the Jews of Babylon, the people of the Lost Ten Tribes did not return to their homeland. They had lost their identity as a separate people, mainly because they had rejected God when they lived in Samaria and continued to do so after they went into captivity, essentially becoming pagans themselves, knowing nothing of God.
Interestingly, some of their descendants, a few centuries later, became Christians being evangelized by the early Christian Jews, and became the Iranian and Iraqi Christians we know are persecuted to this day........
Still not understanding how Japhethites and Hamites can be physical descendants of Shemites.
They aren’t they are ‘cousins’.
They are descendants of Noah’s other two sons.
After the languages were mixed up at the Tower of Babel, the different people all went off in their different directions, the Hamites went to Africa nd the Japhethites went eastward to Asia. The Shemites hung around the Levant and became the Canaanites, Hebrews, Midianites (Arabs), etc.
I know all that.
I think you’ve contradicted yourself. But it’s unimportant what I think, and I still love you, so let’s leave it there, shall we?
