It's not sola scriptura. It's not sola fide. It's a doctrine most people don't even know by name.
All things in Scripture are not alike plain in themselves, nor alike clear unto all: yet those things which are necessary to be known, believed, and observed for salvation are so clearly propounded, and opened in some place of Scripture or other, that not only the learned, but the unlearned, in a due use of the ordinary means, may attain unto a sufficient understanding of them.
As we approach Palm Sunday and Easter, that all will seek God’s Truth and understand Jesus’s teachings for our salvation.
I give up. Why is that a problem?
Sorry, but what does the Catholic Church, the church of continuing sacrifice when the Bible says Jesus’ one sacrifice forever perfects those who come to him, say is the Protestant’s biggest Bible problem - in plain English?
Exactly 💯...
What’s The Problem?
“... so that you may KNOW that you have eternal life”
Read it
Believe it...
.
Repeat.
Sorry, but what does the Catholic Church, the church the worships Mary as a virgin although she had children after Jesus (lost her virginity) and was a flawed human who sinned like the rest of us, say is the Protestant’s biggest Bible problem - in plain English?
Catholics are tortured to have a Pope that is solely in charge of all that is Catholic, thanks to his appointment by the majority of the world’s Catholic cardinals.
The Pope decrees things, and since he is the only one directed and inspired by God to lead “His” church on Earth, all Catholics must abide.
“what we need to know to be saved is clearly taught in the Bible, so much so that any person, regardless of intellectual ability or educational background, should be able to understand it.”
So if you were illiterate, you could still understand it?
Hmm...the vast majority of people who ever lived were illiterate. No salvation for you!....but seriously, thats why Jesus established the Catholic Church. The Church teaches about salvation, no literacy required.
Jesus gives ten (qty=10) affirmations of truth in just John 5:24 alone.
You mean the one and eternal sacrifice that is made present to us in the Mass?
The Catholic church was not established by Jesus.
The Catholic church’s first leader was a man who Jesus literally said had Satan in Him.
The sacrifice is eternal; Hebrews 9:24 says that Jesus appears "now" in the heavenly Holy of Holies before the Father offering himself on our behalf.
Who said literacy was required to understand what the Bible teaches?
