Canadian Catholic School Student Who Was Suspended for Protesting Transgender Bathroom Policy Speaks Out

Washington D.C., Feb 21, 2023 / 13:30 pm Josh Alexander, a 16-year-old student in the 11th grade at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Canada, was suspended this month for expressing his religious and moral objections to the school’s transgender bathroom policy.

St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Renfrew, Ontario, allows males identifying as transgender girls to use bathrooms designated for females.

Alexander was first suspended for protesting the school’s transgender policy in November, on the grounds he was “bullying.”

When he tried attending class on Feb. 6, he was subsequently suspended again and arrested for trespassing. He has since been released but remains barred from attending classes through the end of the school year.

In an EWTN News Nightly interview, Alexander, who is Baptist, explained that after he began attending Catholic school, “very quickly I was informed by female students that male students were using the female washrooms; this was an issue that came up in class debate and I used that platform to share my opinions as every other student had the opportunity to do, and I quoted some Scripture, I said that there is only two genders. And apparently, because there [are] transgender students in the class, this was considered bullying.”

Alexander also voiced his concerns with the transgender bathroom policy with the school administration but was ignored. Along with other concerned students, Alexander organized a school protest but last November, two days before the scheduled event, he was suddenly suspended.

The protest took place outside the school as planned on Nov. 25. Local groups Arnpour Pride, Renfrew PRIDE, and PFLAG Canada-Renfrew County organized a counterprotest, calling Alexander’s group a “terror organization.” LifeSite News reported that St. Joseph High School informed students participating in Alexander’s protest that they would be banned from accessing school transportation.

First, the Catholic church is NOT Christian. They teach a false gospel that is in contradiction with God’s word, the Holy Bible. They are just as bad as the demented liberal public education/indoctrination system that essentially kidnaps our children for eight hours a day and brainwashes them into being mindless followers of sick ideology. So don’t be surprised when the Catholic schools adopts the woke ideology just to get along with those in power. They did it many centuries ago when the sold out to pagans by incorporating pagan beliefs into the church, one example being changing the true Saturday Sabbath to Sunday, the pagan equivalent. I applaud those parents who sacrifice to send their children to private school, but for heaven’s sake don’t send them to a Catholic indoctrination center.

Simply untrue.

You sound like either a Jehovah’s Witness or a Seventh Day Adventist. The former was started in the 1870s by Charles Taze, the latter in the 1940s by William Miller.

The Catholic Church was founded by Christ Himself and has maintained her teachings through two millenia unchanged from the days of the Apostles, from the days when many followers had heard Christ Himself teaching.

Fine if you want to believe something different, just don’t go knocking another church because that begs the question: what makes your teachings any better than any other Protestant denomination?

“one example being changing the true Saturday Sabbath to Sunday”

I believe it was Christ himself who did that, in the New Testament. Are you saying Christ is not Christian? Christ ended the old covenant (which included Saturday Sabbath) and began the current Covenant.

Of course every statement here is nonsense other than that every sincere Christian church ever was created by Christ himself.
