The “HeGetsUs” Christian campaign does not want to take a stance on abortion, claiming the issue has proven too divisive and loses sight of Jesus.
“The debate over abortion is a great example of how the real Jesus too often gets lost, overlooked or distorted in debates over political and social issues,” a spokesperson for HeGetsUs told Fox News. […]
“HeGetsUs” saw a spike in interest after purchasing two advertisements during the 2023 Superbowl game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. […]
The $20 million advertising campaign, funded in part by the family behind religious craft store chain Hobby Lobby, as well as Christian groups and other anonymous donors, bought two Superbowl ads centered on the idea that when it comes to Jesus, “He Gets Us.” …

Yeah, well I “get them”. They are wolves in sheeps clothing.
Maybe like goat’s clothing.
He’s not sending money; he’s a major sponsor. You should read his autobiography. “HeGetsUs” is a good thing, as I understand.
“’He Gets Us’, a campaign to promote Jesus and Christianity”
I didn’t see any of the ads, but it’s supposed to be wholesome and decent.
I’ve seen several, and it’s anything but.
PS. Sponsor = financial supporter.
The refugee problem is world wide. But criminal gangs are the problem.
And the answer is good government and law and order to keep people safe so they don't have to flee.
No, he was no refugee. He paid his own way. He went back home as soon as it was safe to do so.
I never understood the census to cause them to lose their house rather that they had to travel to participate in it. Only thing close to refugee status was when they fled to Egypt to avoid Herod’s murdering of the innocents.
You understood correctly. My point was that when mewling liberals make the claim that Jesus was born homeless, you hit back with the point that the reason he was ‘homeless’ is the effects of government taxation.
He was not homeless when he was born. He was a refugee with his family when they fled Herod and his actions. But liberals will twist the facts to get you to support what they want. It’s what they do. Use verbal judo on them, something like the above.
I saw one of these commercials that day - it just seemed weird and “off” to me - bizarre, in fact.
The “HeGetsUs” Christian campaign does not want to take a stance on abortion, claiming the issue has proven too divisive and loses sight of Jesus. …Well, a year later and they showed that they do indeed take a stance, and it’s clear which side their stance is on. (A closer look at the foot washer, and she resembles Hillary Clinton to my eyes.)
Is that screenshot for real?
If it is, why am I NOT surprised?
It is. I am sorry to say I saw the very scene in the actual ads.
Just more of the soft/faux religion...
Humans are failed and flawed creatures.
Most will take the comfortable lie over the hard truth any time.
This group would rather have bigger numbers than true followers... like most churches.
Don’t offend anyone.. ignore the word, just get butts in the pews.
Can you read the signs? Those are protesters outside Planned Parenthood (oh “Family Planning”) while the Blessed Hillary washes the feet?
Could they have covered for Planned Parenthood any better?
/facepalm
If you find which ad please post it - I hope to text some of this information around - including to a couple of pastors / preachers TIA
