Or the Angel app. Thoroughly enjoying the series.
As you can tell, so am I.
Roumie was awesome at the March for Life.

Jonathan walks the walk.
I just heard about this series and have been wondering about this series.
Is it faithful to scripture?
Is it well done?
Is it worth watching?
If it is in its third season, at least it is attracting an audience.
Where does it say Mary Magdalene was an alcoholic?
Good show.
Yes, indeed. What distinguishes the series from other movies you have seen is the time they are taking: 56 hours versus the 2 hours of a movie. So, they look at the characters backstories in a plausible manner. For example: Scripture notes that one day Jesus walked past Matthew's tax-booth, said "Follow me", and Matthew did. "The Chosen" explores what might have led up to that, in a winsome way.
Is it well done?
Very. The opposite of "cheesy".
Is it worth watching?
Innumerable people have testified that their faith and their affection for Jesus have deepened.
She admitted it to Tamar in the most recent episode (E3S6).
I think your first question is the most contentious. More than 90% of the show is speculative and added background to the Gospels. There are parts that show the biblical story but they are a small portion. That said the background is in support of the biblical story. The show seamlessly interconnects to the Gospels account. It isn’t a perfect show but it is well done and I would recommend it. It packs an emotional wallop that is hard to ignore. As an example of the background. We know from the Gospels that Peter was a married man but we know almost nothing about his wife from them. The Chosen makes his wife a significant character. If that isn’t your cup of tea then it isn’t for you.
Well said.
As a follow up the show makes you want to delve deeper into the Bible in a way if you are curious about what is presented and where in the Bible are the references.
Thanks Dan. Blessed Sunday to you and all.
Thanks for your xlnt additions, xp.
Thank you - I’ve copied and pasted it into a Word.doc, (I left Hebrews 11:6 on the page for it’s origin).
No no no—it’s Matthew and Thomas!
If you decide to try it, I strongly suggest you start with Season 1/Episode 1 and proceed sequentially.
Thank you for your opinions
I will try to work the series in to my schedule.
It is a good series. Thought provoking.
